  Damn, these haven't changed their designs in 20 years. Just looking at that picture gives flashbacks to primary school.

  This item has been manufactured in a factory, shipped overseas, delivered interstate, dispatch locally, sold at a department store and handled by dozens of people.
  At 28cents each how could there possibly be any profit in this?

    How does 5 smaller ones for 5c sound? 1c per book. BIGW did that last year, i haven't checked this year.

    Do a price breakdown on a kids book pack and you will see. They suck you in with deals then you're kid suddenly needs a special pacer, special rubber set with matching special ruler and some new colored pencils, because last years one is missing red.
