From my experience in retail, Apple products barely had a 10% margin so not much point in stores reducing them.
Plus they always sell like hotcakes so rarely a need to give any more incentive.
If you ask in-store you can virtually always get 10% off Apple computers anyway.
If you ask the people at jb they will price match the apple store education pricing which is usually ~50-100 less than sticker price
