These are excellent. I purchased a couple 2 years ago to give to cousins and one to give to my 3 year old daughter for Christmas 2011 and has built confidence in riding using it. All three are still in excellent condition, and my daughter's has been ridden several times a week for much of the year. Recently she has had a couple of practice rides on a pedal bike without training wheels and showed great balance. The challenge now is to find a good bike for her size.
If you look at the bikes on Mumgo, I recommend the ones with a handle in the frame.
Using a balance bike is so much better for teaching kids to ride than training wheels. The cheap alternative is to buy an ordinary bike and remove the pedals, but these bikes are slightly smaller.
