  • How much is it usually?

How much for toner refills? Oops, wrong product. :) :)

  • I was almost in like Flynn, but I read a couple of reviews and it seems as though the machine has problems sewing slowly, but when sewing fast it can break the thread quite easily:-

It seems as though there are also some issues with the bobbin spewing its guts as well, someone in the Target reviews mentioned that as well. Still there seem to be enough people happy with it. Target has apparently had this machine on special before.

Yeah I read the reviews too and like you said there are mixed opinions… some love it others don't.

I think it's a decent little performer at this price point… handy to have if you need to make small alterations every now and then. People should just not expect to do anything overly spectacular with it.
Bought it as a present and they love it. Good to know it comes with one year warranty.

If a bobbin spews its guts, it is simply incorrectly tensioned, and is easily fixed IF you know how. The difficulty in buying a sewing machine from somewhere such as Target is that the sales people (if you even deal with one) are unlikely to be able to help you with that.

It's a dirt cheap price for a sewing machine if you only need it for the odd mending etc. Anyone who plans on doing a significant amount of sewing is far better off going somewhere thay can test drive their machine first.

Just don't expect this to still be working in 80 years, like many of the old Singers, and you won't be disappointed.

      • Spot on =)
