An email notification will be sent to the primary email address associated with the Amazon.com.au account used to make the Qualifying Purchase within two (2) business days of the Qualifying Purchase being shipped or completed (as applicable) to confirm that the promotional code has been applied to the relevant account.
• You must use the $5 promotional credit by 11:59PM (AEDT) on 31 May 2026.
• This Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
• Delivery fees, taxes, shipping and handling, and gift wrap charges, if applicable, do not apply when determining the minimum purchase amount. • If you remove Qualifying Purchases from your shopping cart, so that the combined purchase value of the remaining purchases at checkout falls below $200, this Offer will cease to apply.

• charge you (using the payment method you used for the original order and without further notice) for the promotional credit you received as part of the Offer which you have used.
• This promotional credit can be used towards a future purchase of “eligible items” shipped and sold by Amazon AU and will be automatically applied to your next purchase of eligible item(s). “Eligible items” excludes products sold by third party sellers including Amazon US (Amazon Global Store) and Amazon UK even if fulfilled by Amazon AU, digital purchases such as e-books, products that are not in new condition such as renewed products, subscriptions such as Prime Video and Audible, any gift cards and postage or delivery rates.
• The promotional credit can be used across multiple purchases of eligible items until it is exhausted.
• The promotional credit will be allocated proportionally among all eligible items in your order.
• This Offer and the promotional credit cannot be used on existing orders.
• Amazon AU’s standard delivery rates and policies apply to any purchase made pursuant to this Offer.
• If you use Amazon’s 1-Click ordering method, any promotional credit will not apply to your order.
• The promotional credit is not transferable and may not be resold, redeemed for cash or applied toward the purchase of any gift cards sold at Amazon.com.au.
• If you return any item purchased using the promotional credit, Amazon AU will only refund the price actually paid for the item (that is, less the value of the promotional credit) and the promotional credit will be invalidated and cannot be refunded or re-used.
• If you violate any of these terms, this Offer will be invalid.
• Amazon.com.au’s Conditions of Use and Sale apply.

Basically Amazon is taking the piss out of us at this point!

    • +3

they and they don't even ship so many things to my house anymore .. F them

I think you're better off opening a Macquarie bank account and buying Amazon gift cards for 3% off via Macquarie Marketplace.

    • You'll need an Australian driver licence or passport and to reside in Australia.

dam… no driver's license, no need to fly…
$412 for 10-year passport, wonder if i'll make it back on deals i miss

      • How much for driver's license?

Try government issued photo id. Banks can't discriminate against you just because you don't drive or fly out of the country.

This is the least discrimination I’ve experienced, but given everything I’ve been through, there truly is no hope for those with complex needs. I cannot drive for health reasons and couldn’t even get to the post office for a passport photo due to sensory impairment. Any prolonged stimulation, noise, or physical exertion leads to a complete loss of function and awareness. Attempts can take years to return to my current baseline.

I cannot accept parcels because they require person-to-person delivery, and since I must live rurally to escape noise, Australia Post doesn’t even attempt delivery—they mark items as “out for delivery” before immediately redirecting them to the post office for pickup.

I have a proof-of-age card, but half of the telcos won’t accept it, while the others only require a Medicare number. Speaking of Medicare, I cannot access it because they require physical presentation, meaning I’m expected to pay privately—so much for the promise that Medicare guarantees affordable healthcare for all Australians.

Banks have similar inconsistencies; some accept my proof-of-age card while others don’t. A few years ago, I paid $10 to set up a Revolut account, but my application was rejected, and I couldn’t get my money back. It seems they now accept proof-of-age cards, so I’ll try again—my $10 is still there.

For 18 years, I’ve struggled with these issues and gone through multiple systems like community mental health, only to be told I don’t have a mental illness. It’s an endless cycle, worsened by the deterioration of state-based medical systems after the introduction of the NDIS.

  • Meh

2.5% credit on a $200 commitment? There's better cash back offers on gift cards through other 3rd parties, this is woeful

  • +4

Cheaper elsewhere. 3% through most Amazon gift card providers that are free e.g. Macquarie. Woke discount Amazon.

  • +1

in the last few months I've seen the banner for $10 with $200, $10 with $250, now $5 with $200.

don't do it guys wait around until $10 with $200 is back at least. otherwise they won't offer it anymore.

Bezos has progressed from spitting in your face to splashing his piss in your face. You know what comes next if you do take up this "deal" (can hardly call it that).

    • +1

      need better analogy

spit play, urophilia (golden showers) & FinDom (Financial Domination) is a thing people are into

considering Jeff popularity i could imagine people lining up if an offer was on the table

  • +1

This deal should go where most crap goes - in the garbage

  • +2

Yuck, pls don't encourage Amazon by biting for these offers

  • Eh? March offer was $10 credit for $250 spend - this is sad.

  • +2

    It was $10, now $5, next is $2.5, $1 and then 50cents.

    • BE A MAN
      DO THE RIGHT THING

  • +1

    Shit deal

  • next week it'll be $210 for $200 gift card

$194 for $200 Amazon GC at MacBank, none of this funny money credit.

  • +1

    Pi$$y!

  • To make things worse, I forgot to add the coupon code for the $5.

    • +1

i think it's automatic if you clicked the link above

      • Oh I hope so.

        • +1

this is why i think it'll be fine

  • This vs Macquarie 3% but need to pay with cash. Hmm. I stil prefer the flexibility of GC over promo credit though.

    • Yes, promo credit is for one reason - to invalidate all cashback purchases on Amazon. It's a scam.

Don't know why you posted this rubbish deal.

  • It's the worst deal I have seen. You can even earn a 3% instant discount via Bupa rewards on Amazon Gift Cards.

    • You need to be a member.

      • I believe that other Health providers have similar offers.
