On FTTP is it possible to activate this on a different port $60 plan for 3 months ($180) then pocket the remaining $170?
So, if you sign up to a $60 NBN plan for 2 months (60 days), you could earn $230 in profit?
I just signed up from super loop coming over.
I called Optus straight away but they all said they can’t do anything about delaying and took me on a journey.
In the end I downloaded the app and messaged them there and it was delayed start to 3rd week April straight away.
That said my shop back still hasn’t tracked yet tho and it’s been hours.
When did you sign up? NBN home internet is showing as $100 now not $350. Did you take a screenshot?

I just ordered through the sb browser and tracked in 10min
3 hours for me still nothing.,.service already up and running FML
Currently I am with Optus NBN, if I place an order with the above offer under a family member’s name living in the same address - will it be considered as new customer?
Also, any idea how can I include a home phone when place the order as I do not see any option during the sign up journey?

Thanks OP, appreciate the post. I don't think I would have even looked into this had it not been for your post. Been meaning to switch providers for a while and this was the perfect motivation to do so. For anyone wondering, I signed up via the app and the cashback tracked ~20 minutes afterwards.

Optus & ShopBack seem made for each other, just not made to work with each other.
no tracking either 24 hours later. connection went live in less than 30 mins though.
No signs of tracking , I signed up 14 hours ago also the connection is not active, probably because I told them to activate to non active port which I've not plugged in a modem yet. Wondering shop back will honour the cashback if I call Optus and delay the activation, since my current plan is paid till next month mid .

So unreliable shopback is. Although it tracked everytime in the past for me . I'll probably delay the activation and worst case if they allow it to cancel it if the tracking is not honoured after 2 days.
So I called the Activation team, and they told me my NBN would not be active until I connect my modem to the UNI-D1 port Optus NBN. Luckily my current connection is on the D3 port. Billing will start only from the Activation date. So If this ShopBack is not honoured in 2 days then I can cancel it with Optus, there are no fees or direct debit until activation(as long as we didn't opt for Optus Modem)

With these things your better of using shopback app on your phone. Tracking is generally better.
Note for FTTP activiation is automatic and happened for me in around an hour. If you fail auto activiation thats when issues can happen.
Both Optus and Telstra will issue a new connection potentially risking your cash back. I have experienced this with both companies.

I got a "We’re verifying your details" but nothing else. Do they connect automatically or there's another email notifying all's gone through?
Call Optus on 1300 739 485. This is their connections team.
Worst case they’ll put through to customer service to sort something out.
Optus called me to finalize the setup. It's all done now and should be working (I'm not home so can't check).
Shady company as someone said before - they call from an overseas call centre masked with a NSW landline number, ask for all kind of personal details, then send a text message with a link to enter card details for the account. Hopefully the internet turns out all right.
That's the benefit of calling them… but if you placed and order and they're contacting you about that order then you feel relatively safe that they're genuine.
(unless someone hacked your email account and knows your order details).
Hey all, would anyone happen to have a screenshot or copy of the terms and exclusions for this $350 upsized cashback? I signed up last night for the $60 BYO plan and got tracked for $350, however I noticed in today's $200 promo there's an exclusion on BYO home internet plans.
I'm pretty sure this is a new exclusion for the $200 promo as the $60 BYO plan was mentioned here a few times and I also don't recall seeing it as an exclusion last night. That said, I'm having some doubts so if someone had a copy that they could link me that would be great!

This seems to be a massive flaw in the whole cashback thing. how on earth can we check the T&C's after the fact?

Agree that it's impossible to check the conditions once the promo is over, which I'm sure is by design as it makes it almost impossible to argue a cashback rejection months down the line if you don't have the original terms and exclusions.
I would normally take a screenshot, but was rushing as it was getting close to midnight and unfortunately forgot! Thankfully lorikeet and stonecold have come through with the goods and we're in the clear 👍🏻

I have also noticed from the CIS that Optus are now doing what most other providers are doing. There are no pro-rata refunds for the remainder of the month you have paid for when you leave. So make sure you port out a day or two before your billing cycle ends!

Just to let you know, Optus Cashback typically takes about 2 days for the purchase to be tracked. We’ll definitely inform the team about the issue you mentioned.
