First Time Buying Postage Label from eBay - Need Advice

Hello, everyone,

I am selling an item for the first time on eBay. I will be purchasing an Australia Post label from eBay.

The item I am selling, however, needs to be moved by road only, and therefore requires the text "ROAD TRANSPORT ONLY" on the label.

I cannot see a way to add this message on the label purchase page on eBay. Will there be an option to add this delivery instruction once I purchase the label?

If anyone could please let me know, or give any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

If you can create a label on Auspost's website directly, there's an option you can tick for "Are you transporting dangerous goods?". I presume it'll direct the parcel to be road-transportable only.

Buying labels via eBay do give fewer options for the price of convenience, that's for sure.

      Turtles are not dangerous.

They are if they're equipped with frickin' laser beams!

Why not just use a marker pen? Have people forgotten the "old ways"? Don't own a pen?

If you're bringing it to a post office wouldn't they have these kind of stickers?

Just take it to the post office

  • Auspost label on eBay seems like all retail price. If you are going to sell things regularly, why don't you open an account with AusPost MyPost Business this even you will be paying retail initially, it will be taking account for your future discount.

Might be an eBay plus member trying to take advantage of 3 half price labels this month. Source

OP could sign up to this. I've been using the code for years.

    • I sell some stuff on ebay and it default seems to have aus small post $10.95 where depending on certain adresses sendle charges around $7ish which seems pretty good
