hmmm, bada OS, limited Apps available id say… isn't that why you get a smart phone, for the APPS?
if not might as well just get a cheap dumb phone, with calls/messages and email only…

    • This phone has a specific feature, you can make and revive both calls and texts and also MMS's

    • isn't that why you get a smart phone, for the APPS?

No, they tend to come with most of the important things built in. - email, calendar, web browser, social networking, navigation, photo management. How many "apps" do people buy for their desktop/laptops these days? Its all about the web now.
Apps are nice for some things, but not essential.

But yeah, I wouldn't touch Bada anyway.

      • most dumb phones have all but navigation, and even then….

  • One other thing to take major note

    3G Band: 900 / 2,100 MHz

Looks like a Optus/Virgin phone, wont work well on Telstra/Vodafone as there is no 850 support…

  • tempted to get this for my not so computer tech savvy parents.

just need something to receive and make calls and sms, and take photos.

I tried that once. First try was a simple Android, had to swap that out for a Windows phone and even that was an effort. I regret not just going straight for an iPhone.
I rarely recommend Apple products but this is one time I will.

  • offer is still available for next 24 hours

  • How is the phone?

This is the worst phone. It was the first "smart phone" i ever owned when it first came out. It's so slow and i remember when the keyboard came up it was hard to type on and unresponsive. Also apps were very limited. There could have been an update since then, but it was total crap. I'd rather get a HTC Explorer for around the same price.

This is the pioneer dreambook of phones. If it was $50 i would still avoid it.
