I wonder what your next mainstream media update will make you say.

      • +4

I'm not bagging them out all I know is they go from 0 to 1939 in 2 seconds

  • I want to buy one now. This thread has made up my mind 🤣

All real men and women should only buy Tesla and make Elon the first trillion dollar man.

    Swasticar

  • Re Swasticar
Volkswagen was formed in Nazi Germany and had links to the Nazi party. They own ŠKODA, SEAT, CUPRA, Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley, Porsche and Ducati.
Porsche made tanks for Nazi Germany
BMW made aero engines, motorbikes and other equipment for Nazi Germany.
Mercedes (Daimler Benz) produced aero engines for Nazi Germany.
Fiat produced aircraft and tanks for Mussolini. Fiat own Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Ferrari, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Ram Trucks.
Mitsubishi produced Aircraft and tanks for the Japanese during WW2.
Nissan produced vehicles for the Imperial Japanese Army.
Ford hired thugs in the 1930s to control its workers and was described by The New York Times as "the largest private quasi-military organization in existence. In 1932 they killed 5 marchers in a protest with machine gun fire.

Are this brands supporting nazis at the moment?

      • +2

Feel free to ask all vehicle manufacturing companies for which political causes/parties they support prior to any purchase if that is the major influencer of your decision.

        • +2

          You can do that.

        • -2

No other CEO of a car company is pushing Nazi ideology on his own social media platform. He loves pedalling misinformation and is a proven liar too (just ask any POE gamer).

      • -3

Are this brands supporting nazis at the moment?

Pretty sure the law doesn't require a person to be in the act of committing a crime to be tried for it.

      • lol and which Nazi’s are those? Like which country allows Nazi’s to exist under their law?

    • Well said. Wonder if the small brain anti Tesla anti Elon would boycott all the above on the grounds of… actually supporting nazi germany

    • Honda is a safe brand to buy. They were founded in 1948 after the war.

    • +2

Yes and let's just also assume all Germans Nazis then.

  • +2

thanks op. was in the market for a tesla. good timing

    RIP these comments

At this price this is incredible value for an EV, I would dare say… a bargain

  • +4

I won't be surprised if the price is 45k in another couple of months. Resale value must be shocking considering how much they have reduced the price over the last 12 months.

    • I think they’ll clear out the inventory of the old model before that happens

  • +5

another ozb EV post and 4 to 5 pages of trolls and bots having fake arguments until 5 in the morning.

I used to enjoy reading all the "erm ackchyually" comments but I lost interest now. but still always see a EV post and then the 5 pages of comments that's satisfying enough. 😂

    • +2

99% of these comments are the same type of comments that can be found in previous tesla posts in here or any other social media platforms. same goes for any Chinese EV posts. these are low attempt "look at me im smart because i repeat what everyone else said on reddit or twitter" comments.

    • +3

Um actually im sick of it. This used to be a deal club everyone jazzed to snag a good price high fivin each other to the register n what not now everyone’s just shootin their opinion and politics like it’s all the rage. In my view, everyone mostly buys a tonne of shit from china that supports CCP and yet they’re all here banging on some moral high ground about Elmo

      • -1

Or are happy to buy a VW which was actually established by the Nazi party…but who cares about that.

        • +1

Current VW CEO is not doing Nazi salutes or spreading Nazi ideology. By your argument, most Germans should be considered Nazis because of their grandparents. What a dumb statement to make?

Btw, not sure why you have a Ukrainian flag on your profile? You know both Musk and Orange Buffoon are trying to sell out Ukraine to Putin…right?

if you want to be the most hated car on the road… go for it lol

    • +1

And the most deprecated car, wasn't this like 70k a year ago? 20k worth of fuel saving there!

  • +11

FFS… I came here to read up on the car, thoughts re this pricepoint, benefits of novating given EV, buying WA stock from another state, whether it's worth paying 15 to 20K less to get the older model etc but instead what do I get? 6 pages of BS political commentary on the US, Trump and Musk that I couldn't care less for reading about on a bargain site's deal pages… that's what the forums section is for people… and reddit, where most of these comments seems to be copied and pasted from… sigh

It’s only when someone posts a Tesla ad that you get a proper opportunity to count the number of morons on OZB. Moderators, DO YOUR JOB!

        • It also expose the number of sooks.

    • OZb is a sensitive bunch, they used to dishoned Light n Eazy, Jarcar and HN. What do you expect?

    • For sure, and I'm just here eating popcorn. But you do see where it all started, right?

Sorry , to those whinging about relevance, but it's bigger than a car choice.Given the reach of the man children in the WH, , it's all relevant>

I don't understand the hate, his putting his life at risk to audit government spending and reduce tax money waste. We need to do the same thing here?

      • I don't understand why he cant just come out and say "I am not a Nazi, i detest all Nazis and their ideology and there is no place for them in this world."

Doesn't seem that hard for someone who isn't a Nazi to say right?

  • +2

I don't understand why anybody would vandalise a Tesla (let alone any car), not really my style of car but each to their own.

    • +1

      It's a form of protest.

I'm not supporting the actions of it, but I understand why people protest.

      • +2

I mean, vandalizing innocent people's property is not really acceptable.

        Protest in another way

        • I completely agree it's not acceptable, hence why i said i'm not supporting the actions.

But you mentioned you don't understand why anybody would vandalise a Tesla, the reason why they are doing it is because it's them protesting

So i understand why they are doing it, but not supporting the actions they are taking….there are other non-destructive forms of protest.

          • @whitepuma: Thanks for clarifying :)

          • @whitepuma: I did hear him say it on a joe rogan podcast, maybe just thinks its ridiculous that people even think that in the first place. I feel it was just taken out of context.

            • @m0tyrider: Sorry, i don't listen to the joe rogan podcast. Who is "him", and what did he say?

              • @whitepuma: In my previous comment, Him = Elon Musk.

"Hopefully, people realize I'm not a Nazi. I just want to be clear. I am not a Nazi," Musk stated firmly
                during the conversation.

                https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/technology/social/im-not…

                • @m0tyrider: like, regardless of what you or i think, people are welcome to protest, but ofcourse as mentioned those actions taken are not warranted. But like mentioned i understand why they are protesting.

                  • @whitepuma: Pretty much, Just protest without damaging other peoples property. Thats called vanadalism, not protesting

                    • @m0tyrider: It can still be both things, their not mutually exclusive.

i.e. what happened on Jan 6 can be considered by both a form of protest & a form of vandalism…hey you can even add a third one in, some people deem it a form of terrorism. Again, doesn't need to be mutually exclusive.

So yes, i do believe what's been happening to these tesla's as a form of protesting, despite me not condoning the act of vandalism.

                      • @whitepuma: Frustrating that its vandalism for some and protesting for others, or terrorism for some and protesting for others.

                        • @m0tyrider: I'm worried that you didn't read my last comment, as mentioned it doesn't need to be mutually exclusive, it can be both a form of vandalism and a form of protest at the same time, and that doesn't need to be frustrating. and that non-mutually exclusive classification can come from the same individual.

Let me give you an easier example.
think of something like ice cream, it can be considered both a dessert and a comfort food. It doesn't need to be just 1 thing.

                          • @whitepuma: I read it, I am worried you didn't read mine. I find it frustrating that particular protesters actions come under "protesting" while some are "terrorism"

                            • @m0tyrider: I read yours…but i feel we are going in circles. Don't think anything else needs to be said other than that something can still be classified as 2 different things. You're welcome to call it terrorism or vandalism, whilst it can also be a form of protest.

We need to step away from being so binary in how we classify things, that's how they make people take sides and pit us against each other.

                              • @whitepuma: Well I am just calling it how it is.

There isn't alot of things that are binary when it comes to political discussion, the best way is generally inbetween the two extremes.

Been in a few now, felt like the interior is going to disintegrate around me, which is ironic coz they're just so simple and bland, yet still subpar quality. These things should cost no more than a Mazda 3. I think the EV fad will come to an end very soon and we'll be scratching our heads as a society in a few years wondering what were we thinking. Cue all the brainwashed EVangelists to come out on here to defend the cult in 3, 2 ,1….

    • +1

I don't own an EV, but I can see major benefits if we all switched to driving them.

The best thing about EVs is the lowering of air pollution, especially in built-up cities (assuming supplied electricity will move towards being produced in cleaner ways, which can be done without having to swap out the car again).

Second best thing is reducing the noise pollution from ICE car engines revving everywhere (again, a built-up city issue).

      • You call it noise pollution, I call it a symphony.

    • Coming up to 3 years of owning the Model Y and put 48,000kms on it and nothing has disintegrated.
Nothing more convincing than comments about quality of a car coming from people who have never owned one.

      • -4

Do you also make love to it?

        • +2

Is that what you normally do with your cars?

          • -2

@keejoonc: No, no I don't. But do you sit in the back seat and just gaze in awe at the fabulous interior of your Tesla while slowly touching yourself??

            • @BlahBlahBlaah: You seem to love making up fictional stories about what I do with my car. Must be based on your personal experience I gather? : )

Didn't think saying my 3 year old car is perfectly fine after doing 48,000kms equates to making love to a motor vehicle and touching myself in the car LOL

I think the problem lies with you.

  • I do like a good bargain. So I am waiting for maybe a 2023-2025 Model 3 Performance to drop to say $25-30k. Thank you early adopters!! :D
