Things must have changed from the old day on eBay, but I won this item from Germany was only bidder and was watching from my au eBay account.
Myself and seller have been discussing the shipping options and we have or I have settled what I planned on using. I pretty positive the shipping seemed to be low but never took much notice and it would sort itself out when auction ends. But still the same the shipping cost it shows to pay. This could never be sent at this price and I’m wondering if it’s a mix up of EU and Australia but I don’t know how eBay operates these days.
So I was telling the seller to go for the lower shipping cost I had two options and other was more. His cost is like 32 odd euro less than the lower option I was going for and said he needs to update the shipping cost to right amount he said he looked and can’t find this option? He also said I selected this shipping which I never as it’s always been that lower price and I assume it worked itself out later.
But I definitely did not pick the shipping cost he sent me a screenshot showing I did? I never selected any shipping costs as I have no idea how much it will cost. He obviously would use dhl.de and we was going to go wha suited me best so don’t know why or how the shipping is so low? Was it still set for price within Germany? And something went wrong? Or did seller make error I do notice I’m currently logged into eBay.de and au at same time would this have caused it?
But in saying that I purchased it through eBay au, the seller said prior he paid the difference that would mean he pay 32 euro off and I only 20 euro. But I certainly never selected any shipping costs shipping price.
I thought like old times people used to be able to modify an invoice had this now changed as I said to seller he can do this but I don’t think he can and things maybe have changed. I did send him something about adding extra items to this delivery I think it was changing invoice or adding to it but it’s for additional if that makes sense which there ain’t.
Maybe he can request the extra there or do I need to watch here, The item I’m getting is worth $AUD800 and that’s not including shipping and GST. And I don’t want to have issues with seller or with this auction if things went wrong prior to delivery. He seems a nice guy and says he pay the extra cost and I don’t know why it says in his screenshot I selected it I definitely never. To be honest he got a fair price on his item which never sold previously, and I try him to sell it for less but I caved and won item.
I doubt he will want to cancel the auction and I hope not either but I just don’t understand why we have issues with it already, I assume that if a seller uses dhl.de he can and I assume that eBay shipping program they used to have has gone or still a thing as myself as a buyer and him as a seller should be able to use who we want to send with.
