Is This a Good Deal? - Tesla ML3 Long Range AWD

Tesla Gurus, as the title suggests, is this a fair price for this car? I have checked other cars on Carsales/Marketplace and my understanding is that it is a little bit higher but buying it directly from Tesla gets me:

One-year extra warranty on the vehicle.

Acceleration boost (For sporadic shits and giggles) -$3000 add on a new car

Enhanced Autopilot - $5000 on a new car.

Peace of mind that it has been checked by Tesla.

If I were to order a new car spec to spec, it would cost me 75k today. Thanks much.

I don't think vandalising private property of people who have nothing to do with the guy is the right thing to do.

hey that's common sense. that's not allowed in this thread.

Spot on. Supporting the vandalising of cars because you don't like the owner of the company is pathetic and childish. I'll never buy a Chinese-made Tesla but I imagine that the vast majority of people who have, have done so because they like the product and don't give a shit about the politics of the owner.

        We live in crazy times.

Okay, so its apparent that all you redditors hide here too and even push agendas on a savings website. Keep Crying

    • and what agenda might that be?

      • Not sure but there are only 2 of them so it's one of those I guess.

  • +1

The price is a bit high compared to market listings, but includes valuable extras (warranty, acceleration boost, enhanced autopilot). Whether it's fair depends on how you value those extras. Consider negotiating.

  • Great price.

With the EAP and acceleration boost, plus peace of mind buying from Teska direct, and noting reasonably low kms… Bargain.

You might just need one of those new Tesla bumper stickers "I bought this before Elon became a super villain".

  • Used Telsa does not come with the jackboots. BYO

    • Comes with a nice wardrobe of brown shirts I hear.

  • +1

All the Tesla hate aside - it's a really fantastic car. You'd absolutely love it.

Yes Elon is a twat. That part is up to you to decide. It's a shame he's such a (profanity), we have 2 Tesla's and honestly they are really very very nice cars to own. But I must admit my next car will probably be a different brand. Nothing to do with the actual car!

    • -5

Why even mention Elon? You are a twat yourself. If it wasn't for Elon you wouldn't have your Teslas in the first place.

  • I've been seeing LR and Performance Model 3s regularly on car sales for around $40,000 (mostly dealers) so depends on whether you think buying from Tesla is worth an extra $10,000.

  • +2

Even if Teslas were free could you handle the cost of the cringe associated with the brand?

  • +1

Ask yourself OP, do you trust the unstable clown CEO of Tesla not to say or do things in the next 3-5 years that would cause a big drop in the value of your car? I wouldn’t go near a Tesla while he’s in charge.

Ay present it seems he'd be likely to blackban features on aussie vehicles if the governent made him annoyed because we want a public safety feature on twittle.

If Nazi cars are your vibe, go for it.

So fkn funny that that comment, Not. It's getting old. I see 400+ kids in my kids school plus 20 teachers do exactly the same motion with their hand as a way to bestow peace onto others… Eg there was a teacher leaving after 10yrs last week and there was a gathering and everyone did the same thing with their arm to send her off with a blessing.

      • Musk's 'unusual' arm gesture is just icing on the weird cake. It matches his previous behaviour, whether it was condoning racist conspiracy theories on X/Twitter, his support of the AfD in Germany, to his unilateral dismantling of the US government. If Musk wasn't already mired in numerous controversies then I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, but when one acts in a way that matches their previous behaviour, it's hard to be generous towards him.

And no, I have never seen people give straight arm thrusts to bestow peace onto others. Maybe that's a very special school.

I'll go with 'Things that didn't happen for $200' thanks Alex.

You won't need to use a life line bruh.

        • -2

Wrong. You owe me. If you have ever been to a Catholic school you would know. But alas you don't.

          • @Logical: Ok then, find us all a video of similar Catholic school (or any catholic related ceremony) where the same action is performed.
            Should be easy right?
This 'Bestowing peace' gesture is clearly something you should be able to find on YouTube

      • Sure it happened .Just like you said it did.

        • -1

It was a Catholic school. But yeah, what would you know about blessings.

          • -1

@Logical: I know Catholic priests abused children.A lot. And the Vatican covered it up. It's a blessing to be an atheist

            • -2

@Protractor: Lol. And in how many 'homes' the same things happen.

              • @Logical: Not on an industrial scale. I note you seem to be like most of the flock and remained silent before, during and after the event.Victims and their families deserved better. Support from the flock was invisible.

Stop simping for fascist billionaires. It’s sad.

        • There's only 2 reasons you would. Neither is a value that our country should tolerate

  • Seems decent

  • Great price, I have been waiting for the same thing, but a Model Y through Tesla. Will pull the trigger when I see it.

  • I see these white fridges on the road everywhere now, so boring.
