This price is an all time high, is it not?

  • No deal = no post!

  • +1

    Down vote, not a deal.

Not a deal, more like an ad. Why was this post approved???

  • +1

    RRP Price.

  • +1

Looks like the OP wants free traffic from Ozbargains to his/her website as well. I would double negged if I could.

  • +1

Why would mods allow this to continue?

  • +1

    NO DEAL POST

  • +1

Not a bargain price ,so NO DEAL

  • +1

Remove this post , no bargain listed.

  • interesting that it has V2L, has anyone connected a EV to their home?

    • +1

      Yes.

Kept the fridge, freezer, TV and NBN modem going through blackouts.

Even after several hours, hardly makes a dent in the car's battery capacity.

      • Thats pretty amazing, do you have a solar system? Interested to know more about your setup?

      • +1

Is this vehicle to home or just V2L with the supplied type 2 to powerboard?

Vehicle to grid only recently got approved in Australia, I bet the set-up to connect car to home would cost quite some coin, let alone connecting to grid

        • Just V2L with the supplied type 2 to powerboard.
More than sufficient to cover the basics in an extended blackout.

Have solar, but early adopter, so FIT I get is more than I pay for peak rate electricity. Therefore, best for me to feed-in to the grid as much solar as I can generate.

Best thing is I haven't needed to go to a petrol station since got the car. For my use case, just plug in overnight at home.

If you're on a much lower FIT, then ends up cheapest to charge the car from your solar generation (equivalent of less than $5 lost revenue from FIT, for a full tank). I charge the car overnight as that is the cheapest electricity rate for my circumstances. Even at those rates, probably less than a quarter of the price of equivalent of a full tank of petrol for a similar style of car.

Apparently, third parties have shown several of the BYD models to be capable of V2G, but this side of things in Australia is still in its infancy, even at a regulatory level. Hardware doesn't make economic sense just yet, but like the EVs themselves, price drops, choice, regulation and general acceptance of V2G are likely to snowball once it gets started.

  • What a wildly different response compared to the OzRRP posting of three weeks ago

    • -1

The less crappy car spam the better.

    • +1

      Tough room today 😜

    • +2

I guess if the price is as cheap people wouldn't respond that wildly differently. I was expecting $50k and $60k drive away.

    • That was the launch of a new spec which dropped the price (although removed premium features).

  • Was hoping for performance to be sub 60

  • +2

RRP isn’t a deal and I’m not visiting your crappy website. Go away.

  • +5

As jv would say… where's the deal?

  • +1

    Most OzBs buy cars.

Yes, in some ways this isn't a deal, but car releases and car price reductions are some of the biggest benefits one can get from this website.

Its great to get the input of ozb on where certain cars fit, as its incredibly valuable to be up to date and learning about car offerings.

  • +2

Launch pricing is not a deal. Ozbargain isn't meant for advertising.

  • +1

    RRP not a deal

An improved model is on the way. Viking, Australia has also given a negative review.

How much is it discounted from the normal price ?

or is this just SPAM ?

  • -1

When did this site become a car bargain site with occasional side deals and streaming site releases!!

  • I dont think BYD will discount prices much, they are the new car brand atm. Such a same though, as similar BYDs in China are alot cheaper.

  • More RRP full price SPAM. Cannot see a deal. OP is trying to harvest clicks.

  • waiting to see if BYD going to drop price on the Sealion 6 Premium

  • +1

    spam

  • +2

It's been 7 hours and 37 negs. Why are the mods silent on this? It's a new release at RRP, and the poster is clearly just trying to promote their website.

  • +1

Definitely tough crowd today. But let’s hear from BYD details on:
    * How soon can we see it in the showroom or book a test drive?
    * Considering the delay in BYD Shark delivery, when can we realistically expect to see it delivered to customers?
    * What is the warranty and service details?

  • +1

This is not OzRRP, go advertise elsewhere.

  • This is just an ad

  • +2

Hi OP, could you please give some exclusive discount for posting on Oz Bargain.

  • Why this is posted here. This is not a deal. This is just an advertising. Needs to be removed from deals page.

  • -1

    ozbargain or ozscam?

  • Just RRP…
