Grabbed an Apple Mac Mini 2.3GHz 500GB for $519 at David Jones today. Bit of a savings from its usual retail price. Not sure on when this bargain expires and at present it isnt showing the price on their website but it worked last night and said its price of $519 was $699 :)

Great find, ellamia. I am guessing your model is the 2011 model, retail price of $699, a generous 25% discount. Apple should be able to give complete warranty on it.
and you also should be able to extend the warranty by purchasing a warranty extension from apple (makes it 3 years)

Applecare on eBay is way cheaper.
looks like previous model as its only 2gb and comes with OSX lion,
current $699 model is 4gb, intel HD 4000 and osx mountain lion
