gosh no way… after owning one i really think 199 is the maximum, there is no auto pause sensor on this. and my ear gets hot after an hour or so.
the clamp too weak as well. dont get fooled by the bose name and it will be luxurious and high quality item. something like oh look, 300 for bose??? omg so cheap its bose!!! bose stuffs always $1000++++ !!
    wrong.

I think I responded to one of your comments previously about this product.
Anyway I have used these on multiple 9+hour flights and no discomfort experiences at all. Still very happy with them.

    • I upgraded to the QC SC about 18 months ago after many years using the QC25. The headphones are used regularly on interstate and overseas flights.

I’ve been really happy with the QC SC and I’d buy them again.

Is $299 the lowest price? No, but they’re a quality product.

  • Not "Quiet" as good as this deal (hard case ones):

And nowhere near as good as:

  • $272 at Catch

  • Can someone clarify what is the difference between this model and the previous deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/889004 ?
I bought the previous deal but want to get another pair. Thanks

This has a soft case hence the "SC". That's the only difference.

Bose QuietComfort should be the same headphone with the hard case swap to a soft case (SC). Plus the SC version is ment to be cheaper & don't have as much of a colour range.

Got them at costco for $170, honestly doesnt worth $299.

  • Great pair of cans, I love them. I got them during that crazy JB deal and it's worth every cent. I refuse to purchase Sony headphones ever again.

  • Love that they came with a audio cable for delay free usage. Wish that they were slightly tighter

  • I'm torn between these, the XM4s and the Momentum 4s if they ever come back on sale.
For all the reviews I've read, I can't tell which are supposed to be good at what - rtings for example scores one particular model highest for 'Neutral Sound' but then the review seems to criticise it's excessive bass and lack of mids! (???) It's almost as though make these reviews up as they go along.
I've tried to listen to them all in JB Hifi and Myer, but the Sennheisers are the only ones I can get to connect to my own device - so I'm listen-testing the Bose and Sony based on wired-sound of their selected demo music.
Even the cheaper models sound great in such circumstances.
I'll probably have made up my mind by the time the next models are on sale.
