  • This should be their normal price everyday. RRP was so overpriced!

This deal confirms the theory. Lots of product nowadays are on sale every other day, the real value is always over inflated

  • Anyone have any luck getting other stores to pricematch?

    • -4

Price beat at Officeworks for extra 5% discount.

I don't know if OW stocks?

        • not stocked at OW unfortunately

        • My bad. I got mine from JB a few weeks ago.

  • This or sony wh-1000xm5

    • +3

I bought this from JBhifi about a month ago.
      They are great

However, If I could get xm5 cheaper - defo xm5

      • Thanks

    • +1

Swipe controls on xm are horrible. And personally I feel qc is more comfortable to wear

  • +2

This is really deminishing the FOMO I had when JB went down to sub $200…

  • I just paid $100 more at Myer.can’t win them all I guess.

    • Return Myers and get this?

      • +1

Can’t return headphones or earphones once unboxed - apparently for ‘hygiene’ reasons.

        • I got the $10 per $100 gift card offer so too complicated even if they did return.

        • +7

Unless the box is marked with a special sticker, you can buy them from Costco, then go back to Myer with the Myer receipt and the product you bought from Costco and refund it.

            @watwatwat: real ozbargainer

          • +2

@watwatwat: Is all that travelling and distance really worth your time for this though? That’s a question to ask yourself.

          • @watwatwat: Don't they have Serial Numbers?

            • @donotuse: I am sure the product id is in the receipt, not the serial number.

        • Fair enough I wouldn’t want to wear it after you

  • Anyone knows how these compare to the Sennheiser Accentum?

  • +3

Just a heads up - the inbuilt microphone is crap. It does come with a wired in-line microphone which is awesome but…. It beats the purpose of being a wireless headphones.

I think it’s more for listening to music while commuting.

Its drawcards are comfortability and great ANC.

Bad for gaming and average voice calls

      • bad for gaming how?

        • +2

No console support (Xbox, PS etc)

Bluetooth is usually laggy for PC gaming, thus wifi is generally preferred. If the device supports Bluetooth aptx-ll (low latency) codex, which I don’t think this does, then it’s passable for gaming. HTH

  • Insufficient stock. I just signed up to Costco to get this and they are sold out.

      ask to cancel membership?

I got some of these recently, I find them pretty poor for music, they are good for watching TV and blocking out cicadas and wife's TV.
I have some Audio Technica ATH-AD900X (open) which I regard as OK for music.

  • Does anyone know which is the best EQ mode for watching movies on?

    • +1

depends on your hearing - you can DIY hearing test here with this Sydney uni webpage free hearing test (with headphones) - https://newt.phys.unsw.edu.au/jw/hearing.html

I'm old with serious drop-off above 3KHz - I mostly listen to podcasts of people speaking and want more treble to clearly distinguish the voice against noisy environments - also to avoid bass thump (I've spent my time playing in rock bands) further risk to my hearing - so I adjust the Bose Music app EQ to max treble and min bass and mid - viz https://photos.app.goo.gl/LsVCzGSBnufn87ML9

I know young bass enthusiasts may hate that - just come and tell me in 50 years how your hearing is holding up then ;-)

I ran to Costco Dockland and they told me I got the last one. There is no stock left there. They lady even put announcement on the speaker to ask the staff clear the bose display discount section

    • +1

The lady who check the receipt in the way out asked me if the one I got is better than online. I said I paid $10 cheaper since online is 189 and in store is 179.
She smiled and said I got absolutely bargain 🤣.

      Thanks OZ

You can try to get a pricematch at offical bose webiste and use Amex CC offer for 40 AUD refund on purchaes over 200 AUD (you might need to add some small additional item)

    • I don't think they will price match Costco. From memory, they will only match certain stores like JB Hifi and Myer.

      • +1

Cheers, I'm trying to get their agent but the wait times are super long. I'll report back.

      • just got off the phone with Bose, they will only price match with JB, Harvey Norman and MYER.

JB also refused to price match.

    • Thanks! It's a great deal.

  • +2

Thanks got it for $179 instore :)

  • As of 1:11pm, the Epping store has 65 in stock.

  • Just walked out of Costco Auburn with one just after 3pm. Looked like they still had stock in store at $179

Costco in Lake Macquarie (Newcastle) has a bunch left. Sadly I couldnt justify the spend for myself as I have two bluetooth headsets already. Still purchased one for the wife though.

  • I use these Bose QC SC for hours every day and love them - recommended.
