      You can never use the GC on initial purchase, pretty standard across all retainers.

      Biggest bummer is 30 day expiration

      You can buy apple gift cards at 20x points anyway which gives you a 10% discount.

      There are no gift cards for Harvey Norman as such that gives you a discount. 5% via certain programs.

      That doesn't make sense? It's a form of payment so wouldn't make any difference to paying with cash or card.

      we will, the gift cards are funded by head office so we dont care what we sell the product for, the gift card isnt a loss for the franchise

        Tell your Bathurst store. We weren’t able to buy a PS5 game on price match in November. Cashier refused to accept the gift card.

        She told us “we can only price match when the same payment method is used”. She specifically outed the head office as the reason, said it was company policy and she’d get in trouble if she tried. No amount of complaining would change her mind. Refused.

        Terrible experience - never again!

          absolute peanut this staff member is, gift card is perfectly fine and they lost a customer.
          Regional stores historically are stuck in their old ways of overcharging as theres not much competition.

    I was thinking of posting a deal for the PS5 Pro. 10% off in gift cards is a decent deal for consoles, and you can easily use it to buy games / peripherals.

    However their website says they don't really have any of them in stock!?! I checked about 10 postcodes around the country and got no results. Guess the new consoles must still be in high demand…?

            @HardlyNormal: Bit strange that this generic deal got 7 votes (at time of writing), while a specific deal I created has over 50! And that's with a ton of criticism over the (relatively high) pricing in the specific deal also. People are strange.

    Do we know if this deal still applies if I pay with gift cards? Can’t see an explicit exclusion but also don’t want to pay for $1k in GCs and then not receive the ‘bonus’.

      they show as a seperate item that is bonused on the invoice
