6.3 The Voucher Repayment Fee is a pro-rata amount, equal to the total amount of the base
Voucher divided by 24 and multiplied by the months (or part months) remaining in your

Max cancellation fee is $800. The $99 first months charge In past deals I’ve usually got this refunded though if you’re really nice, but be aware in case if you are unable to get the $99 refunded. T&C: https://www.telstra.com.au/help/critical-information-summari…

Also keep in mind this deal is for porting in your number, so if you’re planning to cancel you could get a $5 Aldi sim and port in with that.

Anyone has any idea what happens if you don't pay $766.59??

    • +4

AFP will.come and put you in jail

    • +4

It gets direct debited. Telstra will send around the debt collectors and you'd never get a loan again.

Why wouldn't you pay? May ask your parents to pay it for you.

    • Let us know.

Not sure, you can even split up payments as well if you ask, I can pay off one of mine over 3 months

You'll find out the hard way in jail if you bend over.
Hopefully your dad can pay your way until you grow up.

@Ash-say AFP will come..is this true?? Or you just saying it?

@G-rig I had the option to not do direct debit, debt collector will come to my house is it? And what do you mean by never get a loan, as in home loan? I have a option to not pay, same way I didn't pay asurion 2yrs back the $60 when you trade in your old device. Is it really true you are taken to jail or you just speculating?

    • I don't understand why you think there are no repercussions if you try to avoid payment. You received $1700 in gift card and trying to avoid $766 ETC.

AFP will unlikely come but if you don't pay, there is high chance of Telstra referring this matter to the debt collector who can do all sort of things including reaching out to your workplace, and contacting you time and again until you make a payment. If you still refuse to oblige, there would be likely a default alert on your credit file and therefore any future credit application (credit card, personal loan, home loan etc.) will have less than 1% successful rate.

    • Why don't you want to pay.
Sounds like you shouldn't have bought it if you don't understand how these things work.

      Grow up lol
