    • Tbh, if I was you, I'd wait for the extra 2 weeks or so, at the worst case. But apparently it should be in stock soon as the delivery date is shown as 3rd March. I mean, if you picked s25 because of the small form factor (which I did), you'd be utterly disappointed with either of those two.

All this is on the assumption that you have a usable phone with you rn, if not, further wait could be a headache obviously.

    • What are you looking for in a phone if S25, S25 plus, and S24 ultra are all contendants?

      • I have upgraded from an s20fe, really just wanted a new phone for cheap. I dont heavy game, really use my phone more for life or watching videos etc as well as obviously taking pictures and videos, new baby on the way so good photos and video probably most valuable.

After reading the post above the notion of another phone made me curious, s24 ultra, pixel 9 pro or s24 and an extra 600 all interesting options

        • I upgraded from s20fe to S23U, and now to s25U.

Any of the phone you're looking at will be massive upgrade from s20fe. The only issue had with S23U was the non-rounded phone corners. Pretty much the only reason I upgraded to S25U. As long as you're aware of the size difference.

Received the phone today..i guess in hindsight being patient wins rather than going for the older 24!

  • +4

    Received mine as well
Got a message from JB at 6pm that it's ready to pick up.
    Happy days.
    Ordered on 13th, Mint colour.

  • +5

Got mine as well. In Melbourne. Navy. Happy happy! 🎉

And just so you know, they ask absolutely nothing about the JB plan.

  • +1

Still waiting for silver 512GB in Melbourne. "No stock within 200km". Hope they restock soon.

  • Does anyone know how to make the $526 ETC payment? The final statement mentioned "you can login and pay the invoice through jbmobile.jbhifi.com.au/payments on or before the due date." but I couldn't find the payment details there. Thanks in advance!

    • +1

If you just ignore it, it will automatically take the payment on the due date from whatever card you used to pay the initial $79. Otherwise, in-store at Telstra or call them up (based on the Telstra chat)

    • +1

My $526 payment went through automatically based on my credit card I signed up with at JB.

      • Did you get points with Telstra Plus leaving it to automatically direct debit?

        • I have no idea as I never setup my telstra account.

  • Received mine as well
    Ordered on 13th, Navy colour.

After reading on here, did try to swap it for S25+ 256gb but no luck. Will cancel plan tommorrow via Telstra App and see if I can atleast salvage points given I am unlikely to get refund on the 79$ even on a pro-rata basis( have not used the sim other than to receive SMS to setup telstra app)

Next stop is figuring out a good case/screen protector. Also is it okay using normal USB-C & power adapters, most of mine take USB and the cable that came with phone is USB-C to USB-C

My phone still hasn't arrived since Feb 13. Was initially told told worse case was 2 weeks but now over 2 weeks. Is something going on with stock that I don't know about?
JB staff just giving the generic we don't know and leaving it at that. Surely someone on their end should be investigating what's going on with stock levels?
    Silver 512gb s25
I'm getting really worried now? On the $79/m plan already.
Any suggestions on what I should do?

    • Cancel the $79 plan (assuming its not your primary no.) if you aren't planning on staying on it as it has no bearing on receiving the phone.
Delivery = Patience is the key as no doubt they had a lot of orders of the 512GB Silver Shadow model. ETA shows as early March but could be stuck at docks or whatever.
If rushed, then perhaps pick a different model or phone that they do have in stock. Either way there is nothing to be worried about.

      • Ah thx. I got a receipt that says retrieved park sale but with total price etc and something about online gift card. I'm guessing that means the phone should be paid for now?

        • +1

Yes. JB applied a Giftcard to pay for it when ordered. Once you receive phone, you'll get a proper JB Receipt showing $1387.00 with pick-up date as purchase date.

          • @Borg: Thanks. Interested to know if the purchae date is based on the day physically picking up the phone or when the pickup is ready (email/sms) sent?

Reason: I received a message today to advise that phone is ready to be picked. I am flying overseas mid May'25… wondering if I delay picking up phone by couple of days, would I be able to claim TRS… (purchase needs to be with 60 days of travel) !!

            • @WebSurfer: Purchase date is when you did the initial order. example I got invoice yesterday but invoice date is 13th feb.

              • +2

@FiDad: Mine is the pick up date.

                • @andylch: Thanks. Would be great if thats the case with my order.

                  • +1

@WebSurfer: Anyway, you can always ask them to provide you a handwritten tax invoice.

    • Same here. I went to the store and the staff told me that all arrived stock is already allocated and they dont have a purchase order yet for more stock. As per him it could take upto a month as well.

  • I know it's off topic, but what are your opinions on using lens protectors for s25? Are they really necessary? I'm just worried they might reduce the image quality.

    • +2

I always had them on my S23 to prevent potential micro scratches from being in pocket etc. Prior to selling I gently took them off and stuck them on S25. Can't say I've noticed any difference in the few before/after tests I did.
Main thing is to ensure that none are lifting which would be obvious. When cleaning with soft cloth I'm careful and hold my finger on each one for a few seconds to assist maintaining bond over time. Seems to work as have never had to replace.

      • Thanks mate!

    • Ok so I have tried taking few pics indoors with and without lens cover and I can definitely see reduced quality with lens cover on. I wont be using camera lens cover, my phone case anyway got raised edge so that should be protection enough

      • +1

Which ones did you buy (link if possible please) so we all know which to avoid?
My ones are Maxshield (from S23) like these. Can't spot any difference with/without. Don't think they make for S25 though.

        • +2

Yes yours looks better. I got this Katin screen protector + Lens from amazon. Screen protector is good but camera lens not so much. Would appreciate if someone got a recommendation for S25 lens protector

          • +1

@FiDad: Afaik, Spigen,ESR, and EFM are some good brands with positive reviews for lens protectors. You can buy EFM ones in JB. I'd probably watch some comparison videos though.

Collected mine as well just a hour ago. In Sydney.

Navy, Ordered on 13th Feb. I'm so happy it finally came.

Hang in there guys, the wait was worth it!

    • +3

Yes I ordered for delivery and finally got a tracking email and my tax invoice from JB. Looks like my phone will be delivered tomorrow.

      • +1

Update- Got mine Navy 512 gb phone delivered this morning in western Sydney, worth the wait for me. Hang in there folks

  • My patience ran out, called my jb and asked if they could help get me into another phone. They offered $200 off any s25 variant. Not great for the plus and ultra, but meant settling for the 256gb got me a $200 gift card, combined with the $100 gift card to cover the $79 first month of the plan paid upfront id say i have done well. I suspect jb staff have absolutely copped it from people, I was polite and they were fantastic in helping problem solve, couldn't ask for more.

    • I see the blue one (not navy) is largely available at alot of stores now. I dont think it will be too much longer. Hopefully.

  • +1

Just picked up mine, vic. Hoping others get theirs soon!

  • I pre-ordered via the good guys same offer as this (comment section on that post is closed) and I am still waiting for my phone. S25 512GB Navy. Anyone else in the same boat?

    • +1

No. I ordered on the last day and got my phone about a week ago.
