    -

    • could you explain more about the Azurion potential fee + retention fee = -$110

My phone is also valued at $50. But where do i key in the IMEI, condition of the phone?…. I am at checkout it says -50
      there is no options.

could you walk me through on the trade in…thx

      • The IMEI steps etc will come up once you actually click checkout, it will send you to Azurion to do the trade-in, give you a code once its all completed then you input that code back into the Samsung store checkout to complete your order

        • so you dont actually pay until after going to Asurion and then come back to Samsung.

Do you only pay once? like to Samsung and the deposit I guess of $50 for that phone trade in? to Samsung or Asurion?

          • @Sydney11: Trade-in is done first, you pay the dollar value retention fee upfront for the trade-in you provided to Azurion, then you get a code, then use that code to checkout on the samsung store checkout to complete your order

  • What happens If I include a trade in but not send the phone to them, how much would they slug me?

    • +2

      $60 no return fee

      • Are you sure about this I don't want them to slug me 1k on my card if I fail to send them the phone afterwards.

        • +1

As DealHuntersXD said. You will lose your security deposit (which is the trade value amount) PLUS $60 which they will charge against your card.

To circumvent, use a Prepaid Mastercard which covers the security deposit ($1?) but not the $60 BUT I don't know if they then blacklist you afterwards.

          • @burningrage: Haven't been blacklisted. Tried it while purchasing S24U last year. Was charged $60 no-return fee + the trade in discount of $30 for a watch that I had selected which I did not trade in later.

          • +1

@burningrage: So if trade in amount is 405.00 they will charge to my card?

            • @alz: Yes they will take a "security charge" of the trade in amount, also in the FAQ, they said that they may charge a non return fee of $60. They will return the security charge once they receive the returned device.

So, this is as good as I can I think

    S25 Ultra 512gb $1,879.20 (already includes 20% EPP Discount)
    Less:
Your $100 Galaxy eVoucher+ has been applied!
    Voucher applied! $200 eVoucher discount.
    Voucher applied! $400 Trade-In bonus.
    $150 Trade-In bonus applied. Ends 14.02.25.
    Less:
$75 Trade In - Note 10 256gb. Note, they charged $75 as security deposit.

    So Phone $954.20

    then add:
Anti Glare $19.50 (already 50% off)
Galaxy Bud3 Pro $239.40 (will attempt to cancel this AFTER receiving the confirmation email or tomorrow)

    So in total $1,213.10

Too bad I am not leaving overseas otherwise another GST discount.

    • +1

oh yes totally forgot I am going o-seas in feb, TRS will be nice.

    • Nice one. I am hoping we can still do this with accessories or I am screwed (just selected a heap of stuff I do not need.. haha)

    • Amazing. Do they charge an additional security deposit fee if I don't send them anything?

      • Last year, I got penalized $60 on top them keeping my security charge. Very expensive.

It may be worth it for $1 trade in device.

    • Did you use the Shop app for another 5% off?

      • I didn't. EPP (Government) requires a specific website entry screen so I don't think (or didn't think at least), my Samsung App would work.

        • +2

There's an option in the shop app to switch to govt

          • @harro112: Where is this button? Does it work for edu?

edit: nvm im actually stupid - found it!

        • yeah it works, i just logged into the App using my usual Govt credentials then went to my account, "Select store" at the bottom, then select Gov store

          • @oxblood8: Ahhh good to know. Luckily i had both so used edu. Didnt notice you can go to app -> account and at the bottom select store. Wonder if this works for other EPPs or just edu/govt

          • @oxblood8: any chance they spam you to the Gov email address?

            • @baaz: Nah, i signed up years ago and use my personal email address, I only ever have to enter my govt one if i haven't logged in for ages, and even then its just a confirmation type email.

    • when return buds do you just drop it off at a samsung store? or you need to pay shipment and possibly insurance etc…?

      • No. The idea is to wait for Confirmation Email to be sent (at the moment, the order is being accepted. Not accepted yet) which should be by tomorrow and then I would attempt a bud specific cancellation via chat citing change of mind.

        • +1

even if that doesnt work… there is a blanket 14 days return policy for all Samsung products.

          • +1

@Sydney11: Haha anybody game enough to try it though?

Might lose the $200 coupon and refund the rest….

Can somebody try it and let the rest of us know. Hahaha

            • +1

@lplau: Somebody did. Mandalorian did. He said it worked

    • The 150 trade in bonus gets removed for me for some reason.. trading in a watch

  • +1

Damn, cant cancel addons - it automatically selects the phone also this year!!!

    • +1

uh oh. lol Wait to get them then refund?

EDIT: didnt we need to wait for it to be "Order Accepted"? Mine is still "Order received" and can only cancel

    • Guh. Had thought this was how i could easily save 200

      • Guess too many ozbargainers did it last year so they clamped down and closed that loophole

        • +1

Guess ill sell buds on marketplace

    • +1

No no no. Wait for the confirmation first. Then either try online or try via chat/phone. I will be trying later.

    • It did not allow it last year as well. You need to speak to someone on the chat

  • +2

    $682.19 for S25 Ultra + Buds 3 Pro + Case, traded in S23U.

    • Similar, I went other accessories since I already have buds, good one

    • Is this on normal store on education/epp store?

Which sized s25 and s23 ultra?

      • Edu
        23-512 to 25-512

        • +1

          Nice one.

I am thinking of doing the same upgrade via epp portal.

The s-pen losing bluetooth is making me question it though. Taking photos with it is pretty handy!

          • @wrekt: Fair enough, I never used that feature, going for spec bump

  • Found the $400 code on the Samsung Members app like others have suggested…..after waiting for livechat for 3 hours haha

    • Do you need to be using a Samsung device to have access to that app?

      • Yes

  • Generated 2 codes from Samsung members app and neither seem to be working for S25U on Edu shop for me, currently have S25U 256GB for $847 with trade in of S24U 256GB, am I doing something wrong?

    • Which codes? E.g. $400 and $200 trade in?

      • $200 trade in , both of the codes start with CSP

        • +1

Odd. Seems to be working on govt portal. Maybe an issue with Edu

          • @OZcheepsk8: The trade in codes via chat starts with ERP.
Too many different ways to get to the codes so i guess some of them have restrictions as to which portals they can be used in.

ERP code for trade in worked in EDU

        • +1

Never mind just worked , $447 with trade in, I just had to keep re entering the code.
          I'm one happy chap

  • Mines $1740 total for s25 ultra 1tb jet-black, with care pack, buds pro3, magnetic case, and anti glare screen protector.
    Traded in a note8.

  • Samsung edu store not working?

    • Working, but telling me GALAXY2025 redemption limit has been reached?

      • is that so? that buckled fast

wo ho ho just tried myself and I get that, too. good that mine is already placed. jeez!

        • Unless it's doing it for me cause I made a previous order today already, and not allowing me to use it a second time?

          • @retainer: Does edu store still have 20% off?

          • +1

@retainer: haha you're right. don't scare ppl like that! I just tried with another account where there's no order placed, and it works

          • @retainer: I think that it's, ordered for my wife earlier and testing out again it doesn't work.
            Any work arounds?

            • @Jessie Ryder: Don't think so short of setting up another Samsung account and pairing with an EDU email.

  • Wow this Magic worked for me paid You authorised a payment of $738.60 AUD to Samsung S25 Plus 256gb plus Earbuds 3 pro

    • +1

      Incl Trade in?

      • +1

Yes that is right S21 Ultra

  • Can I get a DM of the jotform please?

    • Last time, that jotform appears within my Samsung Apps.

      • Unfortunately i tried looking everywhere and couldnt locate. Hopefully a kind soul will share.

        • I asked the CS agents via phone. They wouldn't share, so only some may have it give out.

        • Shared? Last year, it just appeared in the App. Is it something shareable? Lol. I didn't know it was shareable.

  • Probably a sill question but…, how do you use the Student or Edu / Government to purchase if you are not a student or government employee?

    • WestPac Rewards
Find a student and ask them to help you
      Woolworths employee portal.

  • Anyone else getting an error code when applying the GALAXY2025 discount code using their account (vs guest)? "Redemption limit of this voucher has been reached - pleas use another voucher."

    • This happen last time, just wait a little, Samsung will fix it up.

    • See note by Shabaka and Retainer above

"Unless it's doing it for me cause I made a previous order today already, and not allowing me to use it a second time?"

      • The only purchase I have done today is the $20 eVoucher which does not use the galaxy code though….

    • Have you used it already?

      • Not the discount code, no

  • +1

Apologies in advance for not doing my own research but can someone walk me through how to get the best deal? I am particularly not sure with the trade in bonus. You can put a $1 trade-in but not send anything just for the bonus right? So what is the cheapest price you can get for a S25U 512gb? Thanks, appreciate it!

    • i dont get thiss also, i have a s23 plus so if i get like 500 value to trade in, how can i only pay $60 in a non return fee

      • They charge your card $500 (or value estimated for trade-in) refundable security deposit until you send the device within 14 days after the new device received. If you don't send, both security deposit and non-refundable 'Late Return Fee' up to $60 will be charged. In addition that, this time they've mentioned about the bonus credit as well. So it's a huge risk to take I guess.

Below is in under Trade-in Return FAQ on https://www.samsung.com/au/trade-in/ :

You have 7 days to return your device to Asurion once you receive your new eligible Galaxy device. If you do not return your device within 14 days, you will be automatically charged a Late Return Fee of up to $60, which is non-refundable. The Security Charge will be held until your device is received and graded. Samsung may also charge you for any additional bonus credit applied to your order.

        • They charge your card $500

$500 has already been applied to your order. Is there anything wrong with them charging you $500 if you don't send the device?

  • it comes down to $458.10 with buds3 and grip case with following codes
    $100 evoucher ($20 purchase)
    GALAXY2025
    $400 trade in code
    $790 trade in s24U 512gb
    $150 trade in bonus

Might just sell s24U on mobile monster for better value (quoted $1050) and cope $60 non-return device…

    • This is what I do each year

    • Whats the 150 trade in bonus. Im not gettimg that

      • +1

it is automatically applied when you trade in

        • This isnt working for me for some reason tried refreshing and tried signing in and out. Also tried other devices too. It depends on the device actually. Older devices have no bonus

    • I am so confused with the trade-in codes.
So, you get one from CS but where do you get the other ones if you are not planning on trading in your phone?

    • Do you just not return it and they charge $60 or do you need to tell them you changed your mind?

      • +1

no need to contact them, they already charged $790 in my paypal for s24U trade in value plus extra $60 non return device later when you don't send it back

  • +1

For the newly initiated just be aware that dealing with either Samsung or Asurion is a nightmare. It's a bargain … if everything goes well.

  • I don't see $150 bonus? Do I need a code for it? Trying to get s25u 256gb on edu store.

    • Need to trade in for it to appear

      • +2

I already see -$20 trade-in for a watch. Do I need to go further steps to see the bonus?

        • Think it depends on the device some offer less bonus

  • +1

Anyone has received the $20 evoucher? I purchased this morning, still waiting.

    • Same

      • I just called; all we can do now is wait.

    • Nothing yet - i bought this morning and not even an email confirming the purchase
