Velocity Points-Earning Credit Card with The Quickest Points Bonus

Hi all,

I need about 100k Velocity points for a reward redemption coming up. I've got a few big purchases to make, so meeting the minimum spend isn't a problem. Does anyone know which bank/credit card has the quickest turnaround for transferring the Velocity points after the minimum spend? Ideally one that doesn't wait until the first statement cycle - just waits until the spend has been met.

Cheers!

Pretty sure all banks distribute points based on statement cycle. I'm currently on Virgin Money and they definitely do. I receive the points a day after statement is out.

You can also look at getting 200k flybuys points and convert it to 100k velocity. That will transfer within a few days.

You get these ones as soon as you hit the spend requirement.

    • according to this it takes a month - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/875063

      • I signed up at the start of the year (January) and had the points within a few days. Closed the card 9 days after opening it. May have changed since then however.

  • ANZ platinum. Seperate company gives out the points. You get directly contacted by them within days of hitting the spend. Right now it’s only 50k in velocity for their current offer.

Most others it’s at least one statement cycle

    • Would the same turnaround times apply to the ANZ rewards black? It's got 90k velocity currently

      • currently got that card.
met min spend before 1st statement.
paid off the 1st statement, still waiting for the 180k reward points and cashback.
        so definitely quite slow.

      • No it appears the black is using the statement method of points posting and I am yet to see anyone who has got their points in Nov 2024

110k VFF for $8k spend and $300AF (Citibank Premier Velocity)

You do need to wait for at least one statement period though.
I believe ANZ credits bonus points separate to normal statement cycles but their application/approval process is painful to deal with IME.
