Please note you need to log into the web portal on a PC as it is not shown in the app on iPhone that I can find anywhere. This only appears in the full browser:

    Credits Granted
    Created Date Available Credit Type
    8 Jan 2025 $300.00 / $300.00 CRED-xxxxxx-xxxxx-xx Service

    • Any expiration date on the credit?

Never paying a cent of my money directly to that asshat

      Trump's opposition?

  • Wonder why people need this when the man who "virtually invented the internet in Australia" has given us NBN.

    • NBN can be good, but depends on the technology. Starlink is great for FW and Sat NBN users which is crap.

NBN is fixed while this is portable.

Thought I'd add another few comments. Note you'll still need to pay the first month before receiving the credit, as it charges you as soon as you add the retail kit to your account.

The credit also appears on your account and isn't tied to the device, so if you have other Starlinks on your account, it will go against whatever the next invoice is for.

I had an existing gen2 on roaming, and adding the mini aligned with the existing gen2 roaming billing dates. For example, it only charged me $9 when activating the mini, as there were only a coupe of days left in the billing month. Which is handy, as the $300 request for credit ticket was fulfilled same day, ready to cover the next months invoice.

What I find amusing was when I went to JB Capalaba to pickup the Mini last Thursday they had jacked the price up to $799. When I queried why it wasn't $599 I was just told that the powers that be at JB realised that apparently they weren't making money on the units, so they upped the price to balance out the promotion…. whatever that means.

Ended up going across the road to HN and grabbed it for $597 and the $300 credit is on my Starlink account now :)

Funny also seeing the price back down to $599 now at JB… jerks.

    • Wii I still get the credit if I activate later? The deal is ending tonight tho.

      • I don't believe so. The credit was triggered on activation so I imagine they would expect you to activate it within the promotion period.

        • Yep I checked JB and saw a sidenote mentioning it. Last night I was bit frustrated as 3 hours not receiving the credit. It's on my account now.

Also, I just learnt that the referral bonus is only for an order through starlink, so ordering from starlink would work out to be better tho.

  • 50GB Only, not enought…

Then upgrade to Unlimited for $195 per month. All depends what you are going to use it for. My sister took my Mini away on her recent trip and 50GB they maxed out, had to upgrade to Unlimited. This was because they were streaming the news and some netflix. If you are using it just for a little bit of web usage, emails, reading the news, phone calls - 50GB is plenty. It is when you get streaming do you start chewing through the data.

  • Asked JB and got it for $590… Deal? After 10% GC, it'll be $531 + $300 credit.

    • +2

Starlink website is 299 right now. no need JB and all the GC shit

      • +1

        $299 + $34 shipping.

      • @geekcohen

Kits purchased from a retailer or reseller are not eligible for the referral program.

Yeah you are right. Got the kit from JB and thought it would be cheaper with the $30 voucher and discounted GCs until I read the referral conditions. Ended up paying $69 + $500 GC = ~$519 in total for the kid + $80 plan to activate the roam service before receiving the bonus $300. In short, spend $599 includes 1 month service + $300 credit. And I had to activate by tonight (30/01) and can't hold.

        Buying directly from starlink, $299 + $34 shipping + $80 plan (activate, 1st month) - $80 plan (referal, 2nd month) = $413 + 2 month service. And I don't have to spend $599 upfront and can activate later when I need.
