  • How was the % cashback work? Shopback is currently offering 3% and Topcashback 15%. Is the % cashback just on the 1st bill?

  • Pity they don't try to keep customers. In paying 85 dollars for 100/20 and that's 25 dollars more than this deal. Have sent a request for a better rate or will churn out. What's a decent provider that costs around 60-70 dollars for 100/20?

    • +1

Southern phone is doing $65 ror 12 months although requires credit check.

    • +1

make sure you churn BEFORE your billing day or you'll have to pay a whole month, no refunds.

  • +1

How's churning to this from Superloop?

  • This mob are a joke… I signed up for Black Friday, they put me on a slower plan than ordered which took several calls and live chats to resolve, now not getting the correct discount and they're telling me I'm not eligible for it (same pricing as advertised here). Not worth trying to save a couple of dollars for the headaches. Strange as I had More Telecom before which is the same company and I had no issues whatsoever.

  • Can you leave if you find them terrible before 6 months?

    • +1

you can leave any time, even after a month!

  • This seems like a great deal. Currently with leaptel, and wondering if anyone has experienced problems with tangerine. I am curious enough to just want to try it to see if its worth spending a little more with leaptel as thats the only provider ive been with FTTP.

    Just for posterity…
I was a previous customer of T and resigned with this special no problems. Changeover from SL was painless and speeds are on par with SL so far. No complaints and $20 cheaper than SL.

    • Thanks for the review. Do you know how long it usually would take to switch after signup?

      • I'm not sure sorry. I signed up 2 weeks before connection (had to wait for end of SL month).

  • I signed up just to see how it will go, but hope I don't regret it. What puts me off the most, and possibly would have changed my decision is They have no contracts, but have a 30 day notice policy which I will have to try and make sense of and make sure the exact date to switch if I decide to stay with them for the full 6 months.I hate policies like this and kindof why I left superloop.

  • I have been with tangerine and I am constantly experiencing lag and speed issues with my mobile just loading something simple like Instagram from my mobile etc it's been disappointing unfortunately although the price is good I got what I paid for.

  • Switched almost immediately, and noticed a slight difference from leaptel, but will just see. I really wanted to compare it as I believe leaptel is pretty good. If you use topcashback you get a further $6 or so back, and if you use a referral code $25 off the first month too.

  • Hello experienced NBN users! Looking to switch from SL to an NBN 100/20 plan, which one is the more reliable in speed and connection of these 3? Exetel, Mate or Tangerine? I really appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you!

Ive been With Superloop, Exetel, Mate, and now tangerine, but only tried FTTP 100/20 with Leaptel, and Tangerine. So far can say Tangerine is ok, its a good deal especially with a referral code, but I will probably look for alternatives after the 6 months. It seems slightly slower than Leaptel, and customer service with leaptel is very good. I had problems with Mate FTTN connection, and switched to superloop which had no issues. Been with exetel in the past and had no big issues, but the reviews are bad. Maybe you should try Tangerine, and see what you think. First month works out $30 or so with the referral code, and also topcashback referral. Worst case scenario, you will be unhappy with it compared to superloop and it seems like they may have a 30 days notice and have to leave right at the right time to avoid a bill. I was planning to possibly move to exetel after this but seems like the reviews are terrible.

  • Thanks for your reply. Yeah, that was my line of thought as well. I was leaning into Exetel but its reviews and the sometimes 'no track" of TCB put me off. I have 2 questions regarding signing up for Tangerine through TCB and getting 15% off the first month, is that right? And > What to do to get the referral discount, since I see no referral code available…?
    Thank you!

    • How it works is you click with topcashback and sign up to whatever plan you choose. I believe they ask in the forms how you heard about tangerine, I said from a friend and used a code. There is no gaurantee the topcashback will work but it did track at about $5.60 for me, but the referall bonus works immediately. I will message you privately.

Ive been with tangerine before, and will be with them again now with this deal.
Never had an issue, speed was as advertised.

They sorted my FTTP upgrade seamlessly.

Good 6 month price for the 100/20

  • So far a week later very happy with the discount. Getting about the same speed as leaptel. Only difference is it does fluctuate a bit at various times. Also notice the ip address changes rapidly, about every 5 minutes which is interesting. The ip with Leaptel was a sticky dynamic ip. A great deal. After the 6 months there are too many options to choose from.
