Recently posted the Xiaomi Light Bar 1 deal but unfortunately mine was lost in transit so had to get a refund. :(

Went searching for another option and found Quntis which seems to be another good alternative on the cheaper side.

How do you actually fit your webcam ontop of this?

    • Check out this image from the page: https://m.media-amazon.com/images/S/aplus-media-library-serv…

Won't get mine until tomorrow to truly find out, but the L shaped USB-C cable is what they mention.

      • Thanks, Let me know how yours goes tomorrow.
It looks like the webcam sits a tad higher again, and probably needs something to secure it to the flat space on the lightbar.

        • So I have it setup -
          * Flat area above allows webcam to sit there quite comfortably
          * Cannot angle the camera down as much as I'd like, front bar gets in the way
          * Plastic on plastic so slides around if the cable to the webcam goes in a particular direction

Overall great light bar… Quality in packaging and item materials is much better than I thought it would be. My first one though, so nothing to compare against but I do like the rear light and light controls on the remote.

  • RGB version appears to be the same price too.

  • Does this mirror your monitor and automatically turns on/off?

    • I imagine it depends on the monitor - some keep USB ports powered, others don't or configurable in settings.

Just got this while looking around. 51cm is 20% as well.

    • 51cm, is good, she says

    • 20% coupon is not being applied at the checkout for some reason :(

  • What does this do better than the Xiaomi for the increase in price?

    • From my observation - Lights on the back, L-shaped USB-C cable to support webcams, possibly greater control on the remote judging by the images.

Genuine question are these light bars just a fad atm or do they actually serve a useful purpose? Just curious as to why these would be so popular?

Eye strain at night/dark room when using a monitor.

It started for me and I then started looking for ways to fix it.

great for WFH, keeps my desk and keyboard bright without shining in my eyes or taking up space on my desk. I have a 40cm Baseus bar, its good enough. Has three colours and three brightness settings with touch & USB-C was about $40

      @DannyBoy

I WFH and have Xiaomi and BenQ units and I love both lightbars!
It helps me when I need to work in a dim room setting (which 99% of the time for me).

My suggestion is get the cheaper version (instead of BenQ) as they are as good as BenQ one.
Ps: don't buy the Kmart edition, the brightness is not as good as Xiaomi/BenQ one

I was tossing that up as well.

I suspect the one you linked (Pro+) is newer and might have better lighting down on the desk but personally for me the reduced cost of the HY214 and lighting from the back won me over.

      • I don't need the back light, went with the newer one. Hope it's worth the extra $25
