Today, I rang Target and asked if they have 3DS XL white edition with Mario Land 3D.
They said yes so I went to Target to buy.
Then I discovered that they mistook Mario Kart with Mario Land 3D.
I felt very p***ed off and asked if they could do anything.
Target decided to give me $20 credit so that I could get grey/blue 3DS XL for $229 and then Mario Land 3D for $49-$20(compensation)=$29.
But $229 + $29 = $258 is still more expensive than the $249 white bundle.

And then I saw the Wii U on special.
So I asked if I could apply the $20 compensation towards Wii U+game purchase.
    The manager agreed.
    Good!
I got Wii U premium instead.

    Wii U premium $429
    -$50 (this weekend's special)
    -$20 (manager's special)
    -$10 (secret Santa)
-$25 (cash back from David Jones Amex Target offer)
-$25 (cash back from Velocity Amex Target offer)
-$25 (cash back from Qantas Amex Target offer)
-13.7 (5% off on the balance with ING paywave)
    =$260.3

For those people who is thinking of using ING card at Target….
It seems that the PayWave device is not common in Target. At least not at the front registers.
Even at the game console section, only one register has PayWave device.
Better to buy multiple $99 Coles Myer Group giftcards from Coles with ING card and then pay Target with those $99 giftcards.

tg, if you are a coles group employee and happen to go oversea in the next 30 days, I will nominate you the king (queen) of Ozbargain.

    • you deserve an Ozbargain medal of honour…

    • -$10 (secret Santa)

I remember seeing something about this somewhere on ozbargain but I cant seem to find any reference on it anywhere now..

  • Another answer from a young Target rep that deserves mentioning…

I: "What's the difference between the 8GB and 32GB model?"
Target rep: "You can save more games on 32GB model."
    I: "Really?"
Target rep: "Yes, you won't realise how large the game saves are"

    From Wii U Q & A

Q: How much storage space do I have?
A: Some of the storage space is used by the system software. The 8GB Basic Set has approximately 3GB available for data storage and downloads. The 32GB Deluxe Set has approximately 25GB available for data storage and downloads.
