DeWALT 8mm 18V XR Li-Ion Brushless Router (Skin Only) & DeWALT DCB188-XJ 8Ah Battery $303 - In-Store Only @ Bunnings

120

Decent router for us DeWalt converts (that end of financial year deal earlier has ended up with me spending so much on DeWalt!). It's around $346 usually and still is at ST and TT. I've been close to getting this router a few times over the last couple of months so I'm glad I held off to get it cheaper plus with a battery.

  • Wrong link… It's showing
Knipex 86 01 180 Plier Wrench, 12 mm Joint Thickness x 5 mm Tips Thickness

  • That's some weird conversion

    Fixed

    • Thanks. I'd pasted in the link but it looks like it autofilled in the only other deal I've ever posted when I hopped from one tab to another.

  • Where were you before the conversion?

    • For battery tools, mainly Ozito. I've ended up upgrading the Ozito tools I use the most (drills, angle grinders, recip saw, circular saw, line trimmer, lawnmower). The only routers I have are corded and the small one is a bit cheap and cheerful, this is a significant upgrade.

I probably need to cull some power tools. I barely use some of the corded ones these days and 5 circular saws is probably overkill.

    Is this router NBN compatible?

    • +3

Depends on how you define compatible it certainly can create an opening on your NBN equipment.

    • It'll help knock off any rough edges you experience on your service.

  • someone explain to my monkey brain what this does

  • dam did they just remove the bonus battery!!! dammit!!!

    • +1

That bonus battery is for all skins that cost more than $200. Should still be there.

      • ohh.. so i have to go instore to collect battery?

        • Yes, you need to go in-store to buy the tool and get the battery.

I'm not sure whether you can buy online and then go in-store to collect battery.

Routers are so useful. I have a cheap Ryobi trim router, and I’m surprised how often it’s used.

  • Ha, last year they didn’t have the $200 minimum, so you could get a lamp with the battery for less than its own retail price, and you could return the light and keep the battery because it wasn’t something they rang through.
