Came across this, seems like a decent deal
Don't need play around with the long stick to froth up the milk as this machine does it all for you

Hmm just me or is this very cheap for an automatic machine?
Edit - Ok seems to get pretty average reviews
No grinder
Powerful grinder: 100% ceramic - With 12 adjustable settings so you can turn your beans into anything from ultra-fine powder to coarse grindings
@Ferocious: TEER3X is referring to the Sunbeam machine which doesn't have a grinder. The Philips one does.
Great machine. I have the 4300 but this seems like much better value for the money.
Just bought the 4300 2 days ago, still in box. Can I please have some feedback?
Had it for a few months and it's been great. Super easy to use and clean.
I only make milk-based drinks so can't comment on the quality of the espresso etc, but works well.
Assuming the 2200 works the same as the 4300, you could just get this if you don't need the other drink options.
I just use the Latte Macchiato setting, but it's more or less the same as the Cappuccino with the option of adding more milk.
I bought the 4300 a few months back when it was on sale.
Having previously spent around 2k for machines, I didn't expect much from it. I'm surprised how good it is.
I also use the Latte Macchiato as we use larger mugs.
I'm glad I bought it.
I bought 4300 to test it as it came with 90 day optional return.
I just love it.
Since it has its own calibration mechanism, if you like good coffee, you will have to waste few cups during adjustment and tasting.
Since April 2024, this machine is brewing four cups a day at my place. No issues so far. I regularly clean the brew unit, have once used the tablets to remove coffee oil and have never greased it.
This machine does not make barista grade coffee. It makes acceptable coffee that you can actually enjoy.
Been using it since 2022, going great as others have mentioned.
I'm using soy milk so the froth is a bit inconsistent and the amount of milk you will get also hit & miss
Using 4300 for at least 2 years and it still goes well, definitely not a purchase I regret.
Has anyone compared the Philips Series 2200 with the De'Longhi Magnifica ECAM12122B, which is still available for $399 on the Bing Lee ebay store
That delonghi one doesn't do auto milk frothing.
You'll probably end up with very similar coffee after tweaking them.
The DeLonghi does proper textured milk (that you find in a cafe).
The Philips does draw through milk. Frothy..in a frappe way..yeah. But hot and textured ..no
I got the delonghi ecam for 4 years and still going strong, having it nearly daily and still loved it
I prefer the ecam rather than the auto froth as it’s much easier to control the foam level, and I also like hotter coffee which it can be easily controlled via frothing the milk for longer
Which model? I had the delonghi magnifica s and it made some decent coffee, the manual steam wand is far superior to the auto on the evo (which i have now)
Coffee is much hotter out of the evo though, irrespective of settings on both machines. Also substantially stronger on the evo, which is strange as it's the exact same infuser.
Same, the magnifica S
The rrp was $899 before.
Don't need play around with the long stick to froth up the milk
That's the favourite part of the morning for a lot of people
I've been starting my day like this for years, even before I got my coffee machine!
That being, I have the next model down from this and it makes an excellent cuppa even though I have to give my wand a good stroke up and down in order to get some frothy milk.
it just doesn't feel or taste the same to have a machine do it for you as opposed to using your own hand does it
Save yourself the headache and get a Jura.
I'd suggest wait Jura EOFY sale.
Considering Philips is just a brand for sale now I'm curious as to which company actually makes these and then slaps the Philips brand on it.
Got one of these in July for around the same price i would steer clear nothing but trouble.
We now have a jura and are extremely happy with it.
Had the 4300 and sold it after 2 years.
too much cleaning work inside the brewer chamber, always moldy, brewer is flimsy too.
Sold it for $550 on marketplace and bought a Breville Barista Express Impress for $400, won't look back.
If you really wanted a fully automatic, I'd suggest to avoid Philips, get a Delonghi instead, better brewer unit and easier to clean.
We make 4 coffees a day with this machine, have been doing so for 2+ years.
Yes cleaning the group and internals is painful, but we only do so 4-6 week interval.
Great for a quick coffee before gym or work. I still buy a coffee from barista at work. This won't hit the spot like they do.
each cleaning takes me 30mins, offsetting all the times saved by going fully automatic lol
If you want good coffee and the machine to do most of the work for you - Breville Oracle, comes with a hefty price tag in comparison to this Phillips machine unfortunately.
Just read a few reviews and despite the name Lattego, there is no latte button!
Great price, cheapest yet on Camels and OzBargain.
