Only just noticed that Zavvi have started stocking these.. Don't need one personally, but seems to be a good deal compared to local prices. I know it was posted from JB a few weeks back for the same price http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/87217 but this looks like its the lowest price yet available to order online.

Price is £89.99 - £9.00 discount for 1st time zavvi users discount + free delivery = £80.99 x 1.5556 (gbp-aud) = $125.99

For those using an existing Zavvi account, it'll work out at $139.99 (which probably isn't worth it)

Theres also a 1TB USB 3.0 external Hard drive made by clickfree for $74 here - http://www.zavvi.com/computing/hard-drives/clickfree-c2-1tb-…

To make sure you get the discount, just be sure to put the ZV15745793 code in the box on sign up & in the coupon code box when checking out!

  • why bother when you can get it locally at JB Hi-Fi for $120 (got that one last night) as listed in ozbargains already http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/87217#comment-1165808.

Like I said above, this is really for people who would prefer to order online. Not everyone lives close enough to a JB store to be able to get that deal. I already posted that link in the info above too for those who can take advantage of the JB deal.

Anyway, feel free to post your own deal, upload your receipt and give other Ozbargainers the chance to get one for $120 in store..

    • can you upload receipt? $120 is better than $125 right :)

  • You will probably get hit with an overseas transactions charge when you order. I doubt very much cost will be exactly "Price is £89.99 - £9.00 discount for 1st time zavvi users discount + free delivery = £80.99 x 1.5556 (gbp-aud) = $125.99"

    • Price is based on using a no fee based card like 2 degrees etc. Depending on your banking institution there may be a dollar or 2 difference.

Sure if you use 2 degrees then you wont get charged an overseas transaction charge. Every other bank will charge you.
Also free shipping is only for UK customers (as displayed on web site)

…if you actually go through the checkout process, you'll see that the delivery is free. They often do free delivery on the more expensive items. I should know, i've ordered a heap of stuff from them before.

As for the price, its standard practice to list the price at the current rate at the time of posting. It wouldn't be practical to list the price based on each banks individual rates now would it?

Please remember that you'll also need a UK -> AU power plug adapter. Personally I'd wait for the Boxing Day sales. It'll be around the same price.

    • Or you can get an electrician to rewire your power socket outlets.

      • Now that's an idea, is that even possible? Got so many items with UK plugs on it's not funny. Always find aussie plugs fall out of there sockets 2 easily especially when its got an adaptor between them.

Seriously if they use our same voltage (220-240V) which I suspect they do, and I was you I would buy a couple of 4,6 or 8 plug power boards from UK and cut the cable that plugs into the wall and replace that with an AU male plug. BAM you suddenly have several UK sockets!!

        • Sounds like a plan. Thanks

    • Or you could open the box and choose the appropriate power adaptor (edit:4 x interchangeable connector, only one transformer… similar to iphone charger) of the 4 supplied by seagate. Good find OP… I was fortunate my jb played nice, but many others weren't so lucky.

  • I couldn't get it from JB for $125. The woman said cheapest is $145 and that's already on special.

    • Maybe try a different JB, The guy at mine just looked it up and said yep I can do that. Literally that was it (he wasn't sure if he could do it at $125 before he looked it up but still)

    • Yes, try another JB. The guy at the store closest to me did not even look at the receipt print out. He did a scan on the barcode, entered 125 and told me no problem ($125).

  • Could anyone upload a recent JB receit for NSW?

  • I saw a seagate USB3 1.5TB for sale at dick smiths in Queanbeyan for $80 something dollars just the other day, looks similar
