    This or Meta Quest 3?

      This if you have ps5

I have both and settled on the Quest 3. I found the viewing angle sweet spot to be way tinnier then on the Quest 3. Also, using Quest 3 through Airlink to Steam works pretty well.
For the PSVR2, you'll need the PC Adapter and a Bluetooth dongle (TP-Link Bluetooth 5.3 Nano USB Adapter is the best) for the Controllers as it best to be close to the controllers.
But the setup for PSVR2 in steam is pretty straight forward.

Only issue with the Quest 3 is text is not as clear as the PSVR2.

I own both and this is my answer for people that ask me which is better.

The Q3 is a better all round headset, especially for newbies to VR. It has way more social apps and mixed reality apps then the PSVR 2. The pancake lenses are better than Fresnel lenses but the OLED panels in the PSVR 2 are better than LCD in my opinion so its a bit of a trade off. Easier to get the sweet spot in the Quest then the PSVR. So if you are new to VR then I would definitely recommend the Quest 3 (not the 3s).

In saying that, I've had the best mind blowing gaming experiences on the PSVR 2. Apart from Batman on the Quest, nothing comes close to RE4 Remake, RE Village, No Man's Sky and GT7. And the cross platform games just look better in the PSVR 2 headset.

It’s quite telling when PSVR1 Astro Bot: Rescue mission DOES NOT have a sequel on PSVR2. (at least not yet)

Bought one of these on launch day.

Played small bursts of Puzzling Places, GT7, Thumper and Rez.

Got prescription lens inserts to tray and make it clearer, which helped slightly.

The best configuration of the headset need it to be quite tight and it would wiggle out of the sweet spot too easily.

It now sits in the corner of the living room and I get a slight sense of nausea just looking at the thing.

  • Great price. It's so much fun… For about an hour! Hopefully I'll use it a bit more these holidays.

    • Get a game called Rush Of Blood.

  • $950 for me

  • Dust at home love this VR.

  • might have to revisit gt7 on the sim. nearly threw up the 1st and only time i used it haha.

If Sony had launched the PSVR2 at this price, the narrative around PSVR2 wouldve been completely different now. I pulled the trigger when it was $539 and dont regret it. I own the Quest 3 too and play it more but I bought the PC adapter for PSVR2 as well and this headset is my default choice when playing on PC. Cant wait for proper PSSR support on the PS5 Pro for PSVR2 titles in March! To me Synapse, GT 7, Horizon, RE8/RE4 and Alien Rogue Incursion are the killer apps for PSVR2 so far

Despite the discount, still feels overpriced to me.

Is it worth the extra $400 for Horizon?

    Are batteries replaceable on this?
