  • Nice, reviews very well against the Aeropress also, I'm tagging my missus to get one for me for xmas!

  • +1

    Basically aeropress but not $100?

    • Similar packaging but technically a different brew method as the coffee and water are kept separate until brewing unlike the Aeropress.

    • +1

I have both aeropress is better.

      • +1

I have both and agree. Delter is more annoying to use and clean than Aeropress but at this price it kinda makes sense.

        • Same. I would prefer to use the Aeropress because it was easier to clean and more consistent. Immersion is immersion, it's just grind and time, there's really no way to mess it up. The Delter, IDK, it would produce better cups at times, but others not. I did a lot of experimentation to try to find a consistently better recipe but I never got there.

Definitely worth a punt at $23 though

Good review from James Hoffmann https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAhVCRQk_mY

  • The metal filter itself is 14 dollars on sale - great find! Just ordered one to replace my original Delter which is still going strong after several years of daily use

  • Worth a punt to take on holidays

  • bought both :D couldn't resist T.T

  • The coffee it produces is lighter than an aeropress, it holds the water separate from the grounds, and distributes the water when you press, through a rubber shower head, so it's more like a lightly brewed pour over.

My honest preference is a V60 or even an areopress, as I can get a richer extraction, but this is a cool coffee maker if you like light, more tea-like delicate brews.
