Bought a pack to drink over Xmas, let's see how good it is! I am a big shiraz lover.

  • You have listed it cheaper on Kogan. I am insulted.

  • Johnny or anyone that knows, is it bold like most of the varieties around there? Would love to know!

Listing on Dan's can be deceiving as there's a big diff between stocked price and available for delivery options.

    • the limestone coast generally producers wine of wine of medium to full bodied, this is a similar style.

95pts Sam Kim….The guy is a paid wine 'expert' who's name pops up on Vinmofo and Dan's and other sites. I wouldn't take what he writes with a grain of salt as he does know wine but…he's getting paid to do it in a way that is almost always postive. He's not going to trash the hands that feed him.

A good independent wine judge like Huon Hooke…now you're talking someone with credibility who's not a rent a critic.

    • Thanks, hate the commercially driven judges. Really helpful

@Luc I hope John doesn't mind me jumping in on his post but I'd like to clear something up regarding Huon and Sam Kim. Both gentlemen derive revenue from reviewing wine - only their revenue model differs. Sam asks for payment upfront for his reviews. Huon (like James Halliday/Wine Companion) ask wineries to pay an annual licence fee to publish the results. Neither, to my knowledge, taste the wines blind.
The reason most reviews you see are positive is because brands and retailers simply won't publish the 'less-good' reviews.
The reality is that wine reviews are an inexact science and subjective opinions. The best advice anyone gave me was find a reviewer whose reviews you like and stick with them…. for me, that's Ken Gargett from Wine Pilot. His reviews are honest, fair and written well - it's why as a wine producer, he is my go to reviewer when I'm benchmarking our wines.

Like John and many others though, we also use Sam, Huon, Wine Showcase and a range of others. (Though sadly with the recent passing of Wine Showcase owner, Peter Muscet, it remains to see if Wine Showcase will continue).

      • Thanks Richard!

  • Anyone going to put brand of this wine?

    • If you google it, you will find the name of the wine.
