Just received the email on upgraded rewards. Also good thing, we can refer friends in overseas and both receive according to their currency profile.

The applicable referral reward will be credited to your CurrencyFair profile and that of your referred friend. The reward will be credited in the currency specific to the country of your particular referral programme.

All customers that have signed up for CurrencyFair in Australia have a referral reward of AUD$150 and a transfer out minimum of AUD$3,200 for their first transaction.

  Is it OK to send the transfer to a bank account in the same name as CurrencyFair account? Can you cash out the reward token directly to local bank in AUD?

  Does the referrer also have to make the $3200 transfer to get the reward? Or can I get my partner to create a new account and refer me, I transfer, then we both get $150 ?

    Not referrer. only new user needs to transfer.

    Not sure you will get eligible for rewards without any transaction. like just create new account and refer others without doing first transaction.

  Did a transfer and immediately got the reward. But only received 70 Euros?

  Looking at the reward table, it looks like they classified me as All other countries instead of Australia.

      I've reached out. The support is useless. They said it's the correct amount and gave the link to the terms which says $150 lol

      I sent $3300 AUD. Anyone else received their reward in Euros?

      The customer service is useless, I'm about to give up. They are saying since I transferred to a USD account. Then the rewards are received in USD, I needed to have transferred to an Australian account to receive the AUD reward.

      But I received the reward in euros and not in USD, and the terms clearly says its based on my country of residence and not the person I'm transferring to.

      They are just making shit up.

      Anyways based on the service I've received so far, I'm not going to use them ever again. My advice is to take whatever referral bonus you get, run and never come back.

    No, I've cut my losses. Their referral process & terms are a mess which they don't even follow. I was told the minimum thresholds are actually determined by the destination of your transaction rather than your country of residence which isn't mentioned anywhere in the terms. This meant the AU$3200 I first sent to GBP was not enough

    After complaining to support about their misleading terms, they eventually agreed with me and credited the reward. However the reward was still only 70 Euro like @linkii above facepalm
    Note: My initial transfer was to a GBP account
