Nice powerbank, I picked up one yesterday, it arrived fully discharged, and with a 65w PD charger takes 2 hours to fill up!

Just don't expect a lot of runtime! :)

    • +2

Quick math at 20W, 3 ish hours, at 40W under 2 hours. Might be long enough for some people, but I would suggest a power station if you are doing it longer term.

    better off with Alogic

    • -1

Good to see they allow a grumpy 1 Star review on their site
      I'll bite…
      Why?

      • -2

Ive been using it for 4 months now. its been fantastic. plus 27000 vs 24000

        • -1

Im a bit doubtful of your word based on your response…
extra 3000mah but only 4grams heavier? Not impossible but I'd need to see some in depth testing to actually belive it

I do like the twin usb-c INPUT/OUTPUT but you don't seem to mention that at all.

          • @PlaunsJanus: well I only mentioned the differences. Why would I mention the same features?

          • @PlaunsJanus: Maybe share your in depth testing?…

I bought one about a 6mo ago, it's a battery with an LCD, temperature, basic usage log.
    from the display:
    17 cycles, 96% battery health
    1409wh output 1491wh input

I'm pretty happy with it and would buy a 2nd one if I needed it

    • +1

4% loss in battery health after just 17 cycles sounds excessive.

Will this charge mac books pros? I’ve never bought a laptop charger

    • +1

Yes, it will even fast charge them.

    • yep and with the right cable up to 140w as well.

I am waiting for Anker Prime to go on sale

    • Yeah, that'd be good. What price would you jump on?

      • Maybe $183.79 to be honest. I don't really see myself spending buckloads on the anker prime.

        • lol. loving how super random those digits are 🤣😂

        • It’s $184 now?

          • @mrctan: Oh my god lmao. I literally did not look it up when I commented.

    • +2

Me, too. The 27650 one has those soft pouch batteries inside, which have a much greater energy density, seem nice.

Can we bring this on the flight?

    • +2

Yes, it does not exceed airlines' limit.

    • -2

      Only allowed on B737 flights

    • Check with the airline but the ones I've seen as long as you have it in your carry on and doesn't exceed the limits, it's fine. 200W ones probably won't be allowed

  • This or the Inui one??

  • Is this just 8 x 18650s in an enclosure with an LCD screen?

    • +3

It's 6x 21700. The 140W conversion circuitry takes up half the space.

      • Oh nice. Will give the teardown a look!

  • someone linked to a deal for this over on the now expired 65W charger deal and it was $111 before. not sure if all time low. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/844044

    • Yep didn't buy it back then as I had no need of it and now kinda regret it.

If anyone is Charging a Framework 16 laptop, check here https://community.frame.work/t/anker-737-vs-ugreen-nexode/57… Someone had issues with the 737 and proposed the ugreen or the anker prime instead. (Just one data point though)

Anker Prime Power Bank, 20,000 mAh Portable Charger with 200W Output $184
    UGREEN 200W Nexode Power Bank 25000mAh PD3.1 90Wh $139

    • Thanks @turtlesinmypants. Bought the UGREEN.

  • This was advertised as this exact price without discount leading up to black friday. Wa going to see if this actually priced dropped.

Going to grab the iniu one for $101 with same output

Is it a waste to buy a 140W battery if I'm only charging phones?

    • Yes, extra size and weight for nothing to be honest

      • Should I just buy a 65w? Or even a 22.5w is enough? It just means enough strength to efficiently charge the devices, right?

        • 18W is enough and also good for battery life if you don't need quick charge. For travel, I prefer quick charge. At home I use wireless charger to get my phone ready all the time. For a laptop, fast charge is handy when using outside the home as it consumes more power. 140W can be future proof but I'd not buy it if I don't use my laptop much.

I will say a word of warning, these things are HUGE. I bought one with the idea of carrying it around Japan for my trip and damn… was like a brick in my pocket.

  • Awesome battery pack, already have one, and just grabbed another.

  • this or the INIU 140w 27000mAh one? currently $101 at Amazon.

  • Will this work with a Lenovo Legion 7?

  • This or Anker Prime? convince me to buy the prime lol

  • Had purchased this earlier but it's too heavy and the cuboid shape made it difficult to carry around. So sold this on market place and now have 2 Xiaomi ZMI powerbanks and pretty happy with it.

  • I got this. Charges to 100% in less than an hour. But as others have said, definitely not pocket size, nor handbag size. Kind of regretting the buy at this point.

    why not get this

    • +1

If you don't need the 140W output (e.g. charge 2 laptops, or a laptop and a tablet and a phone or something), there are definitely lighter power banks that can do the job.

Also if you need to travel with it, that Romoss you linked is too big to bring onto a plane.

      • Ah yes, travel restrictions!

Arrived this morning, its not as bulky or heavy as I thought, its not for your pocket, but fine in a bag
