Forget the questionable Heymix chargers because here's a quality charger from Anker and this one is designed specifically for those with Samsung phones. As it supports Samsung's 25W Super Fast Charging via USB-C with PD PPS. If you don't have a Samsung phone it's still perfectly fine to use.

25W is clashing with super fast:)

Much like Apple thinking 7.5W is fast wireless charging.

      • +1

        Should boycott Apple?

    • +3

I was just thinking the Redmi phone i bought recently came with a 120w charger in the box so i wonder what that is if this is super fast, lol.

      • +2

Where did you buy it? Does it work on all networks?

        • +2

There's been countless pages of discussion about the blocks and such and i've made many comments about this so i'll just link to one:

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16079795/redir

I got mine from spectronic because if you buy it from JB it wont come with the charger (and it's also $300 more lol).

25W is clashing with super fast:)

      It's a 25W Anker though…

Can I charge my Tesla with this or do I need 3-phase power?

    • @duodeta, @Clear, @Iggemo, @jv, @WhyAmICommenting, any-expert,

Asumming your-phone allows charger/power-bank to charge @ 1C or higher, do you think this practice reduce battery-longevity (health), say 1 yr ?

1C-charging is the ability of your charger to FULLY-charge your phone 100% in 1 hour. To achieve this, charger's Ampre-output will increase: say charging 5000mAh battery vs 4000mAh battery…& that your phone ALLOWS the higher-ampre draw to achieve 1hr charging. https://batteryuniversity.com/article/bu-402-what-is-c-rate

Are people placing priority on convenience @ the expense of longevity ?

      • Are people placing priority on convenience @ the expense of longevity

Yes. It's less of an issue for people who replace their phones every couple of years. My phone is due to be replaced soon so I have no issue doing 120W fast charging when needed.

        • Thanks for your comments & noting the caveat.

Anker IS a trusted-brand & will deliver their claims. Buyers WILL pay more, only a few $.

Their reliability is proof that their quality-control work compare to say 'questionable Heymix', ~ 12% fail-rate (4/34 Poll Opions), https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/847507

Btw, those who bought Heymix-brand from ebay, Temu, AliExpress don't count because there's a good chance that SOME are counterfeit & hence SOME-voters in the above link don't count.

          • @ab c: The original Heymix chargers that they first released with actual certification were good. I still have one going strong.

If you're getting a few to put around the home, better off getting Ikea Sjoss 30W for $10 + ~$5 delivery

    • but will this one do super fast charging with Samsungs ?

      • Yes, it supports PPS too.

    • Wow that's cheap for 30W nice

  • +10

For a $1 more I quite like these UGREEN ones, GaN FETs and very compact. They will do 30W PD and 25W Samsung Super Fast Charging, too:
    https://amzn.asia/d/48eJiVZ

    • any in similar price range + power , but with more ports?

    • +1

      Yep I'm getting that one

    • Have had this one for a few months. Fast charge works well on Pixel 8 Pro

  • +1

The 30W GaN Nano used to go on sale for $20, tough sell for a 25W charger that’s barely cheaper and designed for more niche Samsung devices

  • I've been using my Heymix 65w one from Temu for the past month and it's been excellent so far LOL.

Been using it for my S25 Ultra and my laptop around the clock and it hasn't failed me (yet)

    • +1

      You owned a $2K S25-ultra & gamble on a Heymix-charger to save a few $

      • LOL yea ironic, I know. I'll admit I hadn't even heard of Heymix until I searched it up after the product arrived to register for their "extra 1 year of warranty". That's when I came across the OzBargain link and was like, "oops, what did I just buy…"

I have been using offbrand wall chargers for years though, and I've always assumed the worst thing that could happen would be it not working anymore. Figured I'll just use this thing as much as I can and if the charger ends up dying on me, I'll use the 2 year warranty and get another one.

If I had known that Ozb had such a hatred towards Heymix I wouldn't have bought it though. I didn't think such an insignificant sounding brand would even be mentioned anywhere else online :)

        • Ozb had such a hatred towards Heymix

Take those comments as a guide-only. The truth is somewhere between,
1.Poor quality-control (could be 1 UN-happy staff who allowed a bad batch to pass QA), &/or
2.People bought counterfeit-Hymix products & thought that they're genuine-Hymix, especially via online (ebay, AliExpress, Temu etc) @ the cheapest-price, hello!

Personally, I would consider Hymix backed by Amazon with warranty (genuine-source), use 10W charging but is rated higher, say 22.5W.

          • @ab c: Fair enough, much appreciated. The Heymix charger I have is a GaN 65w and it's been the most interesting charger I've owned. I use it to charge my Zephyrus G15 when I'm not charging my phone, and I've checked using a meter and it's able to sustain 65w consistently while staying relatively cool. My 30w Apple charger gets much warmer than this Heymix one.

The 45w charging to my S25 Ultra is excellent too and charges it at the same speed as others claim online.

I love the thing, compact yet it feels quite well made. Maybe there's different tiers to Heymix chargers lol

            • @Zackeroo:

              Is this it, https://www.amazon.com.au/HEYMIX-Charger-Adapter-Compatible-…

The 45w charging to my S25 Ultra is excellent too

If you are REGULARLY charging S25-Ultra in 1hr, you're killing your battery…consider, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16341926/redir
              FACT-check battery-health with AccuBattery-APP ?

              • @ab c: If you're really curious, it's this - https://www.hypop.com.au/products/heymix-65w-gan-dual-port-u…

I know how battery technology works and yes, it's definitely reducing the lifespan of the battery. The reality is, I had my previous OnePlus for 6 years and I used my fast charger on it every day. The battery barely dropped off in lifespan and was still at 83% after the 6-year mark. I understand battery technology very well and the real killer isn't "fast charging", it's the heat generated by it. My S25U will consistently sit under 35 degrees while charging. The S25U is known for being much better at fast charging compared to previous Samsung phones as it consistently stays cooler than most other phones.

If I know I'm going to do a full charge to 100% I will use my 10w charger however.

I've used Accubattery for 7-8 years on Android. I'm not new to that app but I appreciate the thought :)

  • Does Anker manufacture stuff these days?
I'm sure it started out as a couple of guys sourcing and re-badging, or have I got brands mixed up?

    • +2

Yes. Early days was a few guys rebadging generic power banks and stuff. Now they design and in some cases manufacture their own products in house.

  • +1

Wouldn't you want Super Fast Charging 2.0 if you had one of the latest Samsungs?

  • +1

Note that the Anker Nano 30W can be had for $25, also supports Samsung Super Fast Charging (25W).: https://www.amazon.com.au/Charger-Anker-iPhone-Included-Phan…

BTW: Watch out! I had an Anker 735 in my Amazon Cart last night, and they reduced the discount before I could purchase it! I'm still angry.

  • NOT FAST CHARGING!! I should have read the comments before buying! Fccckn misleading post! Cccnt!
