I got this for the same price on black friday.

happy with it so far. it also feels a lot more premium than it looks like in photos which is shiny plastic. the sides are matte and grippy like a thin layer of silicone.

some negatives I read were because it’s long it can droop and wiggle itself loose when you plug it to the wall. I’m using it vertically in a powerboard so don’t have this problem.
I also like that it doesn’t block and take up any space of the sockets either side. I guess if it wasn’t as long it would be wider so I am happy with that compromise.

also since I’m back editing adding the word “sockets”.

had a look at the box again to confirm and instead of “735 Nano ii” it says Powerport iii 3-Port 65W Pod. I mean ok not a problem just says something different. was happy with this when I saw it because my other charger which I’ve been using for years going strong is also a Powerport iii model but single port USB-C 67W.

    • Thanks for the review. Does it come with different plugs for different countries or is it just AU? Cheers.

      • +1

        Just a fixed AU Plug.

    • Just wanted to comment to agree with what's been said here.

I took this on a trip to the UK as what I thought would be the perfect travel charger. However, because of the size/shape/weight, when you plug this into a UK adapter, it gets plugged in upside-down if it's on a wall socket or a socket between seats on a train… In these cases it wiggles itself loose very quickly because it doesn't have the grounding pin to help lock itself in.

Otherwise it's great, but just a quick warning :)

      • This is my preferred travel adapter. A quick tap shows it’s $US18.xx on AliExpress at the moment. The universal AC male out the back is great. I’d prefer one a little smaller that didn’t have universal AC female on the front.

  • +1

Keep coming back to this as pretty much the GOAT of chargers where you need more than tiny (33w one), but still want it to be smallish.

    • Better than the GAN Prime model?

      • +2

I have both. The GAN Prime is better for charging multiple devices at high wattages, but it’s usually twice the price. So, if you’re not in a hurry, it’s a no-brainer.

        • So the GAN Prime is more likely the GOAT rather than this one?

      • GAN Prime is supposed to solve the power reset problem, i.e. it gracefully balance power to multiple devices rather than reset to trigger power redistribution (power disruption to charging devices).

But it's doesn't work properly as advertised, more often than not it stopped charging Apple Watch when iPhone was plugged in to charge. Super annoying to find out watch was not charged when about to go out.

Maybe it works for some devices, anyway returned it, now using 2 of this, often goes on sales for $20. Benefit is even more compact and can be individually switch on/off, disadvantage is requiring 2 power sockets and only 33W max, but plenty for low power devices.

        • Yeah I have one of the 33W charger to charge my iPhone and Apple Watch. It's smaller and lighter, so less likely to come loose when plugging into a vertical socket, unlike this heavier 65W charger.

Waiting for 737 deal coming back

  • -7

A fireplace with three distinctive flames

  • Does this activate turbo on Rog Ally?

  • Wow, I bought this at $70 about 1.5 years ago! Feeling ripped off. Great charger BTW

    • +2

does it give out 65 in one port?

  • +3

Had one of these from a deal at the beginning of the year. Began to melt on top a few weeks back but anker has now sent out a replacement. New one should be here this week. Very easy warranty process

  • Of course this price drop comes after I ordered the (also on sale) UGREEN version last night!

    • I have the Ugreen one. I bought it to replace the power supply that came with my GMKTEC mini pc.

    • +1

I also recently got the Ugreen one 😅

Oh well, I've been happy with their other products and it works just fine.

      • +3

I am trying to tell myself I would've gone the ugreen one anyway due to Ankers bad business practices with eufy and other stuff but probably would've gone Anker at the time… (Ugreen just arrived today and can't be bothered returning)

Did manage the first test of charging the 130W/20k nexode power bank from 38% to 75% at a constant 62W just a little hotter than I would like before dropping to 50W from 75% which I am assuming is the battery bank asking to slower as opposed to thermal throttle.

    • +1

If it makes you feel better I had a choice of both and went for ugreen for compactness. The ugreen is shorter and plug side is flush with body (doesn't have the round base)

      • I've been happy with the various UGREEN cables I've purchased in the last 12 months, and I've seen many positive comments about them so figured I'd give this a go. I didn't compare the size or check the plug, but those are both big advantages so I appreciate that info, thanks!

  • Will this be able to charge a macbook pro 14" m1?

    • Yes.

    • It can, but as soon as you plug a second device in there may not be enough power to charge the MacBook anymore. Should be fine mostly though

      • Would that depend if laptop is only powered on and in use, or even off and just charging?

        • +1

Yeah correct. I wouldn’t think about it too much, you’ll probably never notice. Just setting the expectation that you probably can’t charge more than one thing at full-tilt simultaneously.

          • +1

@JJBB24: Haha, I do get into my charging and electrics a bit. Often overthinking, but needed as I

survive totally off grid in my van and still love full power (mainly via 12 V though & USB C PD).

            • +3

@ozhunter68: Useful context and potentially one of the only times you do in fact, need to overthink it 😂

  • +3

Got one for new laptop for family member…bought same thing previously a year ago for $50, going strong. I carry it on commutes and it’s light.

    I found a couple of cheaper Lencent 65W PD GaN3 2x USB-C + extra USB + mains outlets:

    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0C6F8GBY7 ($29.98)
    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0BN66NJBZ ($42.49) (plus 10% coupon discount)

    • +2

Why did people down vote this? I'm genuinely curious as to why?

      • +1

I would like to know the same.

      • +7

Because people who are buying Anker chargers are specifically looking for a better recognised brand.

There are absolutely loads of cheaper 65W options out there, some of which have already been mentioned on OzBargain.

It's like "Hey here's this deal on new Toyota Corollas" then someone chiming in with a "Here's a Renault for cheaper." Or a thread about Sony TVs having someone chime in with "this TCL is cheaper." NSS- everyone already knows this.

      • +1

Haters gunna hate, you have been on OzB long enough to know this.

      • +1

Probably because LENCENT doesn't have a great reputation for quality, much like HEYMIX. For example (it's a different model, but you get the idea):
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/14210837/redir

I've been steering clear of LENCENT since reading Cactus' review.

        • +1

Thanks for posting that up. Confirms my vague memory that Lencent is another brand to avoid.

I wish that smooth cactus was still posting, and had posted up more reviews. I did take his recommendations on a specific wotobe charger model- I'd never have touched a brand with such a silly name otherwise.

Because there are hundreds of brands of cheap charger out there, I think the approach to take with chargers is to start from a baseline of scepticism, then ask "what's the reason to trust this?" rather than assume they are all equal.

  • +1

Got one of these myself a few months back. Paid $46. Going strong.

    Would buy again.

  • +1

For those who don't know, it's 65w max, via the top USB C port, otherwise this port drops to 45W. If you actually want 65w, just don't try to charge multiple things at the same time

I'm guessing power distribution changes as the things you charge stop drawing current, but I don't have one, so haven't checked!

    • +3

Yup, although, slight correction, you can get 65w on the other USB C port. And yes, you're right in saying that to get the full 65w, you can't plug anything else in.

Here are the specs from Anker:

      Output:
      Single Port: USB-C 1 (65W Max) / USB-C 2 (65W Max) / USB-A (22.5W Max)
      Dual Port: USB-C 1 + USB-C 2 (45W Max + 20W Max) / USB-C 1 + USB-A (40W Max + 22.5W) / USB-C 2 + USB-A (12W Max + 12W Max)
      Triple Port: USB-C 1 (40W Max), USB-C 2 (12W Max), USB-A (12W Max)

      • to get the full 65w, you can't plug anything else in

Is that plugged in devices or will just cables be enough to drop it?

        • I would imagine leaving the cables in (with no devices attached) would be fine? Though I do not have the means to test this out.

        • +1

          depends on the cable

lightning to usb-c for example negotiates 15w whether it's plugged into anything or not

  • thanks, anyone recommend a usb c to c cable to go this ?

  • Can I use it for my Dell precision 5530 which has an official 130w charger?
    Will a 100w GaN USB-C charger work?

  • For those (like me) who want to know if it supports Samsung Super Fast Charging 2.0: it doesn't.

    • -2

It does. Must be your cable. Try middle usb-c port.

      • +1

Oh oh! I missed that the comment that I linked to referred to the older model. Thanks for correcting and sorry for the misinformation.

        • +2

The comment that you linked to (my comment) is the same model in the OP (A2667).

      • +2

I can confirm it doesn't support Samsung SFC 2.0 (it will do SFC 1.0 though).

      • +2

It doesn't. Here's from their official webpage.

Supports Super Fast Charging for S22 Ultra but does not support 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0.

    • +3

You are correct that the model in the OP (Anker A2667) doesn't support Samsung SFC 2.0.

      • PPS: 3.30-16.00V 3.25A

Needs at least 5A to support SFC 2.0.

      • I'm glad I didn't buy then

      • any good value ones that do? I have a moto charger and it's LEGIT looking for something like that

        • +1

Recent deal for the UGREEN 65W supports Samsung SFC 2.0.

          • @RichardL: tyy! Where do you get your cables from?

            • @DrDan: Currently using a mixture of Baseus, INIU, SooPii, UGREEN cables purchased from Amazon/AliExpress.

              • @RichardL: they support SFC 2.0 I assume?

                • +1

@DrDan: Yep, I use them to charge my Samsung Phone and Tablet.

      • You are correct that the model in the OP (Anker A2667) doesn't support Samsung SFC 2.0.

        PPS: 3.30-16.00V 3.25A

Needs at least 5A to support SFC 2.0.

I think this is important. because I also used to look for "samsung super fast charging (SFC)" on chargers when researching. but not every charger will mention that. instead you need to look for the PPS spec. SFC = PPS with required number of A.

  • Looking for something like this but all USB C ports. Any options besides the Belkin Boostcharge?

    • I'm using this and it works https://zyrontech.com.au/products/powerpod-100w-gan-charger-…
4 USB C ports and it's $65 when you add to cart.

      • -1

        100% Australian Owned and Operated
My first product was faulty, had to upload a video of it for them to replace it with the newer model I shared. Unpleasant experience but at least they replaced it.

  • +1

Nice price. Using one of these for my Acer Go swift laptop, gets a low charger warning but powers enough to slowly charge even under full load. Much smaller and lighter than the stupid brick it came with.

  • Thanks. Pulled the trigger.

  • Anker ftw!!

  • +1

This or ugreen? Extra USB C port

    • I would like to know this too

    • +1

      Extra USB A port?

  • With the number of votes, I decided to pull my trigger to be my first Anker brand. Next would be the 737.

  • Does anyone know if this comes with any travel plugs to switch out off?

    • +1

It does not. AU AC only.

  • Price for me is $68.00 :/

  • Had one for 2 years and it hasn't skipped beat.
