There's Widevine L1 DRM for Netflix HD too.

For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate depending on the card.

  • What's a good case for this?

You could probably find an old box or something lying around the house to use

I've got burnt in the past with alldocube advertising L1 then the tablet losing it after a while. Chances it happens again?

I got this and after 6 months of infrequent use, the screen became defective. It often stops responding to touch, you will need to lock and unlock the screen to get it working again. It's frustrating when browsing or scrolling, as it suddenly becomes unresponsive.

Wasn’t this model only released a couple of months back?

Yeah I’ve read a few bad reviews over on reddit about these small Alldocube tablets. At around this price I’d probably gamble on a refurbished iPad mini 5. Or just spend more to get the Y700. Seems the Y700 is arguably the best small tablet. I guess the compromises needed to get these tablets around $200 is always going to mean quality control issues and tradeoffs in other areas.

      • Y700 is $600

        • Depending on version. Even the older versions will be way better than this. ;)

    • That also happened to my alldocube iPlay 50 Mini.

  • I also got burned by the I play 40 USB connector failing
