    Avoid circles at all costs
    Scam of overcharging, pathetic

    • +11

I used to be with them from a previous 12 months deal - was really good and I never had any issues. I only left cos my promo ended, otherwise would definitely have stayed. Was easy for me to port out too.

    • You should neg if they have scammed you

      • I would neg circles but not the deal.

They ripped me off too but maybe they've changed their ways and this might be a good deal. I'm not taking the risk.

        • +1

You can't have it both ways , if they're no good , they are no good !

    • +3

Can you share how they over charged you ? Thanks

      • +1

There is no opt-out of the excess data charges. Once you've used all the allocated data then the data used starts being charged.

The pre-paid option with Circles does not have excess data charges.

        • You can set data caps on your phone.

I terminated my account and asked them multiple times to deactivate my sim, however the sim stayed on for few months, it was lost. And then they sent me a bill of $201. And dispute never got resolved and then the threats to pay and all that drama. Same thing happened with my friend, they didn't block his sim and gifted him with another month charges. Stay away, especially they got big fine in the past too for scamming people.

    • TIO sorted out any issues I had with problems with any phone carrier.

      • Even debt collectors chasing you?

        • +1

if it's got something to do with a bill from a phone company them yes. If they are still coming after you why don't you go to the TIO website and open up a case. You don't even have to call them.

    • did you go over your data limit and get charged?

  • Seems like good value. Haven't use this carrier before. Any more feedback?

    • want to know as well

    • Comments above ☝️

    • You will get occasional issue, but resolvable via online chat. Sometimes you will feel the frustration due to their (support personnel) naivety rather than them being disingenuous.

  • Was going to sign up, but the international roaming is a bit weird. Doesnt include calls and SMS.. just data. Unless im not reading it right

    • On their page it says unlimited texts and calls within Australia. So yeah pretty good deal

      • unlimited texts and calls within Australia

@Woosta is asking about international roaming when they are overseas.

    • Exactly

  • Any Optus MNVO that has International calls for $20 or less per month? Southern Phone as 5G 40GB + $50 intl call credit for $20 a month

    • +1

Yes Coles mobile does but you missed out on this deal however it's on special again at $179, just not as good.

Been on and off circles a few times over the years. Never had any issues churning in or out from them. Going to get on this deal as it's the best available now for the price.

  • They're pretty good. Been with them on this deal for a little while now.. Second time I'm with them.

Don't forget to use a referral code too

    • +1

Does it stack with the referral code?

  • Just wished they had 5G plans too

  • Was with circles, had no issues but I wanted 5g so I went with moose mobile 4g and 5g optus network

On Black Friday, Optus flexi prepaid $320/ 365 days was down to $220 and on top had the $100 Cashback on cashrewards. Comes with pretty much everything for $10 for the next 12 months for me :)

  • Is this suitable for an iPad m4 11” model?

  • …. Using eSIM

  • Was with circles.

Tried to charge me over $200 for excess data usage.

I ported out when i had under 2GB left according to their app and my acc. I physically removed the sim so it couldn't be used for anything, just to make sure.

I'm still disputing it (the excess data charges) atm.

They need to get their act together.

They probably just think most aussies will just wear it on the chin, so it's definitely a nice grift at their end.

I was with Circles as well, for my secondary number. Came an excess data charge circa $60, which I disputed. Initial offers came as $10 vouchers etc, but I persisted. Also unashamedly got Karen options out (talk to supervisor, get a manager to call me..), manager never called but the next invoice has excess charges reversed. They have a lot of issues but being persistant has resolved a few of them positively for me FYI.

  • I am an existing customer paying $10 for 3gig. Got this sim anyway will see what happens.

    • T&C does say new customer only.

You should be able to port to this for a free month and then to circles life. Not sure if they have any cooldown tho.

Circles life needs to be activated within 30 days.

      • Does the 12 months promo period starts from SIM activation?

  • This deal has a promo code and referral code. Can you use both?

  • +1

I know we can opt in for MMS, but is this a separate charge ontop of the plan? Can't find anything about the charge

  • I've had the service (prepaid) almost 2 weeks now- why does my credit card still show a $0 charge pending from Circles - hopefully they wont pull some dodgy move with an overcharge

  • This set of offers is no longer available on their website!

    • +1

Thanks. Looks like they have a new code but only 6 months
