  • Why i never get such promotionsn?

Perhaps it's targeted to those who don't shop there much

I think everyone will get a deal as long as you qualify for yello.

      • Not true…

        • oh RIP lol

their website makes it sound like everyone will get some sort of cashback deal.

          Cashback

          Cashback on CommBank products
          Cashback on participating retailers

          Offers & discounts

Exclusive offers and discounts from participating retailers

@CodeXD: Apparently neither of my two CBA accounts or CBA credit card are good enough for them to give me rewards.

    • From personal experience, when I took my savings from NetBank Saver to ING's savings account and started churning out credit cards from other banks, I suddenly started receiving all the targeted Yello offers that I had never seen before.

I've had Commbank Yello since its inception and only after moving to other banks did I receive my first Amazon cashback offer. Odd.

      • Based on this, I'd guess they probably give better offers to entice the less active/lower balance accounts to be more active. But then that means the higher tiers of Yello get worse offers shrug

  • nope

  • Didn’t get this..

CBA Yello has such strict targeting conditions when compared to others like David Jones, Doordash, Menulog, Shopback/Westpac/BoM/BSA/StG etc. for the billions in consecutive quarter profits they are making.

Yep, I pretty much have stopped using my CBA credit card…

Used to use it 90% of the time… Now maybe 10% of the time…

I wonder if they've thought through the financial impact to them by excluding long standing customers who generally spend a lot of money with their cards…

      • Strict targeted deals like this along with other things like the $3 bank account withdrawal fee are certainly not helping them.

Board of directors are hired for their wealth of experience along with their ability to be able to “read the room”. When it comes to this ability, they are definitely failing this performance measure.

My understanding is CBA is still pouring money into their VC fund (yes they have an arm in the highly risky VC space) where we saw startups like Cheddar app failed.

i have never gotten a deal that is worth using.

  • how do i even be eligible for yello, is everyone making the 30+ transactions a month?

    • How CommBank Yello works

      Eligibility

Have an eligible CommBank transaction account and
Complete 5+ outbound transactions each month from your eligible transaction account or credit card

I have 50+ transactions per month, but still not 'eligible'

        • +1

Yep, I've met eligibility every month since Oct but still locked. Not worth it.
