  I have this fridge, but the water tank version… Would not recommend for anyone living in an apartment or anywhere your living area is attached to the kitchen area… The damn thing's pump is stupid loud.

  I’ve had a couple of friends who purchased lg fridges and said they were a nightmare. The bottom mount ones have a problem with the freezer drawers coming off the tracks and are really loud.
  I have a 15yo lg that is fantastic but many newer models seem to have a bunch of issues.
  Be careful is all I’m saying as you don’t want to be chasing up lg for repairs.

    I have an older model of this with the same freezer drawer problem. Apparently they haven’t fixed it. The drawers slide directly on grooves that are moulded into the brittle plastic interior liner which will crack when you try to close it with slightly uneven pressure. I couldn’t find a practical or economical way to repair it.

  Bought the GB450UPLX (energy efficient version of this fridge) second hand off marketplace for $200, been running flawlessly for the past 3 years

    That's probably the energy-efficient version of the older UPLE model. This PL model is 5 stars and rated for 286 kWh/year

      You're right, the UPLX uses 299 kWh/yr
