  • It's a great stove; have used mine for many years. It is one of the few bits of gear in my kit that I am never tempted to upgrade.

  • +1

Get the wind master with igniter

    • +4

Eh no igniter isnt that bad. I am always too paranoid to soley trust a piezo igniter so take a lighter and some matches with me on hikes to be safe.

    • I thought about getting the Windmaster but the Amicus is lighter, cheaper, packs smaller & the pot support is built in

    • Agree. Took a windmaster on a several months long hike and it was solid. Other people were always losing their lighters

      • Thats full on, where did you go for several months?

        • Pacific Crest Trail in the US

  • +1

Amicus is good, but I prefer with igniter.

  • This doesn't seem to be a better deal than this complete set at Anaconda.

Am I missing anything? Is the Soto significantly better quality?

    • +1

This is different, more of a knockoff jetboil

      • Foldable compact stove would be great for ultra light hiking/trekking trip, due to tiny size. but it’s thermo efficiency much less than Kmart one.
