  • I ummed and erred between this and the amazfit balance which is similarly priced from Amazon - ended up going with the amazfit as it seems functional enough, has updates, great battery life and excellent GPS accuracy / health sensors.

So had a Ticwatch Pro 5 for a year now so If you are thinking about one here it is. Battery life normally wlil last about 2 days. I don't use the second low power screen. Didn't like the way it looked. Charges pretty quick. Updates never happen. The last update was a month ago and the one before was October last year so that's not very good if you got credit cards connected for tap and go. On that subject the tap and go is hit and miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes it won't. Depends on the terminal you are tapping on. I have the sand colour which is ok. Has a tinge of pink to it. I probably should have gotten black. The heartrate monitor is not that good. It seems to start and stop. Seems to sync with my Samsung phone ok. After wearing it for a year, i've ditched it and gone back to my regular old anagolue watch. TBH, I got it as a bit of a toy. I don't actually use it for any real excersise use. I did try it out on the golf course with an app but it was just slower than manually writing down the score or using my phone. For the pricepoint, it seems like an ok watch, it's pretty fast to slide through the menus, I just got sick of having to take it off to charge it all the time. My review is a bit of what I don't like and a bit of what they didn't do. Make you're own mind up.
