but i had them in cart for a while, and hoping for under $300 for 4tb

  • is 460MB slow? i bought the T7 is 1050MB

    • 1050MB

What are he ACTUAL write-speed you've observed & were they consistent, say copying 10Gb+ movies ?

      • I got a T7 yesterday and copied ~40Gb to it at about 340MB/s reported by windows.

        • Why is your speed ~32% of claimed speed ?

          • @ab c: No idea, just reporting the actual speed I observed

            • @whitlam: Up to 1050MB is the theoretical speed under perfect condition & REAL world experience is less, eg yourself.

LONGEVITY: if this's value, consider monitor heat build up, especially warm days &/or heavy use…even with the metal case functioning as heat sink.
Heat kills everything: games often learn this the hard way?

M.2 NVMe SSD on laptop: 5+ years life seems like outlier & maybe a reference point ?

  • Lower again at $722.84

  • wouldn't it be better to buy a M.2 Nvme and enclosure for faster speeds? and if you end up not using it anymore you could always put it in a pc

  • Does anyone happen to know if the 4tb version can be powered by the phone alone?
