Pretty sure this: https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/acer-14-sw… with OLED is better, unless you're really paranoid about burn in or need touchsscreen?

    • Thats a great deal but is actually out of stock everywhere, just checked with the officeworks staff

      • link says there's no stock currently, but if i order i can pick up monday 2 dec. not sure how reliable that is.

        • Only at certain stores - theres no more warehouse stock so you would have to go pickup and the only stores apparently are Dee why and other stores outside of sydney

        • +1

Office works doesn't transfer between stores, so my theory is that when they say they can have it click and collect in 2 days its floor stock put back in the box.
And sometimes the stock take numbers are off, so if you have a store nearby its always worth dropping in for a look.
Harvey Norman have the non touch OLED version too

      • Oh, stock seems fine in WA so I assumed it was fine elsewhere.

        • My bad i just got the info from the officeworks employee in Sydney that the warehouse stock was 0

  • Looking to get one for high school, battery life is important, no gaming or intensive graphics required.
This, or a Lunar Lake one for ~$300 more?

    • You can get the better 155H model without touch screen and with OLED from harvey norman for 100$ more

Not sure about battery life especially with the OLED models though

      • Or the Ryzen linked here with OLED for the same price. Stock difficult though.

I remember seeing msi thread with similar specs, 2 tb4 ports…

  • +3

Same model but with OLED 90hz and no touch

    https://www.harveynorman.com.au/acer-swift-go-evo-14-inch-ul…

    • Other than screen size and RAM, how does the following compare with the Harvey Norman Acer? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/876872

      • +1

Well its a completely different model so its better if you in store to compare how they look and feel in hand if you have time.

The one you linked is big and heavy but you cant go wrong with the specs for the price as long as a big heavy laptop is what you're after. The ryzen 8845hs is a really nice cpu, much better than the 125u in this deal

in general I like the build and feel of the acer swift over the ideapads.

  • Screen on the HN much better but no touch. CPU better.

Take anything I say on the subject of the Acer Swift Go with a few grains of salt. There are so many variations my head is spinning.

  • Anyone have any points on things to look out for in the upper range of this Ultrabook footprint but with more guts? Was considering the Yoga Pro Ryzen AI for $2000ish before cashback but am in analysis paralysis. These Acers are come up a lot and for cheaper but anyone insight from laptop gurus would be epic

    • You can look up OP's other posts with the Acer swift AI 228v or 258v lunar lake chips if you want something higher end

228v is the lower end chip and 258v is the higher end - 258v gets a better iGPU but supposedly the CPU performance is similar only 10-15% difference

The lunar lake chips have much better battery life

I'd be looking at those with the current BF prices on acer models
