Yes! Also incredible, both in epicness, imagination, linking to realty. Also slightly sad in a way I guess, but that's part of the journey. My least favorite species starred in it, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and finished the series. You have any recommendations? I'd recommend the Bobiverse Series - We are Legion I think is the first.

@191919: Hyperion and Endymion etc are brilliant too, but can sometimes feel like hard work. Great writing and epic journeys though. For hard core scifi space opera, there's also Peter F Hamilton with Fallen Dragon which is a single book, and then his Nights Dawn or Void trilogies.
Bobiverse trilogy is really well written but also feels modern, unlike some of the classics.@Rogue01: Thank you all for these reccomendations! I'm on a flight to Japan in a few weeks, hope to get through atleast 2 books from the abovementioned.
I recommend watching the chinese drama version much better and very true to the source material. Season 1 was out last year and up to book 1

I haven't yet watched the show - out of fear it doesn't meet expectations I think - but the book series was mind expanding, blowing, and existential crisis-ing!
