EPP currently stacks 3 discounts on any trade in, taking the tablet to $496. RRP $1299.

If you pick the cheapest item to trade in (or select cracked screen on any phone, so to reduce the trade-in value to $1) and don't send in your item, you will have to pay $30 admin fee, taking the tablet to $536. If you select a higher value item to trade in the admin fee would be $60.

Likely to be an error so be fast. Mine has shipped so it works.

              @Zeee: Yeah they will charge you $30 if you don't send in the trade in, or $60 if the trade in was a more expensive item.

              Done it multiple times before no issues

      Mine was coming up as $839 or something thereabouts until i clicked "buy now" then on the next screen after ignoring all the upsells it said $496.36

            @Lief: yeah my bad, i was on the 256. I want to get 2 tablets for the kids, would have to do 2 separate orders by the looks as trade in only applies to 1 item.

    Worked for me, wanted to get rid of my S22 Ultra 256gb which brought the total down to $136.36. Going through the OP's link didn't bring me to the education portal at first, needed to log in separately, but after that it worked fine. Great find OP!

        It's served me quite well so far, I don't think it ever slowed down on me but it did start heating up a lot recently while watching videos. Battery has stayed solid, I've always used battery protection maximum but not sure if the 20% trade off is worth the longer life.

      Select the cheapest watch or a click cracked screen which will bring the trade in value to $1. The admin fee is lower for lower values trade in

    So what happens if I select something of greater value to trade in, say my pixel 7 pro (they'll give me $265) which brings the total down to $241 for the tablet. If i don't send in the phone, would i just be hit with a $60 fee, bringing the total cost of the table to $301? Surely not

      No you will be charged the discount (ie $265) - which is pre-authorised when you put in your trade in details. Plus the admin fee of $60.

      You'll be charged $60 along with the value of the phone! That's why they reccomend only pretending to trade the cheapest item on the list so you only get charged $61 or so.

          the value of the phone doesn't matter, because it was deducted from your order with samsung, so the total you have to pay is the same. the only difference is the admin fee, $30 or $60 for different tradein value if you don't return it or return it late. So the best option if you don't really want to tradein is to chose the cheapest device for the $30 fee

    I put the order through. I used a samsung galaxy s7 edge and i said it had dents and stuff and it brought the trade in value down to $1
    It says it "Ships from: 16 Dec 2024" so it might barely arrive before christmas for anyone interested in that.

    i dont think this is a bug. just a normal promotion. it is just bonus tradein value, plus a drop on RRP price, which is fair for a s9 given the s10 is already out. s10 plus was less then $1000 last month with a keyboard cover for free!

      its a glitch. the tradin was applying for the following two devices which is clearly not the tab S9:

    Charged me the trade in value but wouldn't let me check out either? Ended up being more trouble that it was worth. So what happens with the amount they charged for the trade in security if my purchase didn't go through? I get a refund on that amount?

    Really tempted but put off by the need to fudge the trade in part.

      did some comparisons, I feel like the S9 comes out on top if you include OS and CPU and waterproofing and S Pen. The code still works for the 5G variant (>$700) and 256gb WiFi variant ($684)

        Pen isn't a factor for me. The CPU and having a micro SD slot are big plus factors. As I primarily want a tablet for media that I can hang onto for a good long while.

        Its really just the need to muck around with the trade in/admin fees making me hesitate

          I got the 256 for $650. I think that is with 5% off (first purchase). The reason I was momentarily
          not getting the triple trade in bonus (mentioned above) was because I somehow went out of the EPP (maybe hit the back button, or clicked a Samsung link) and was in the "normal" Samsung store. Got back into EPP and all good.

    Working again - preorder so dates pushed out. Depending what storage you choose and 5G or WiFi only but yea managed to grab the 128GB WiFi model for $505.36 + the tradein cost. Wonder if they honour it because it clearly says the different tradein deals for the different models…but the glitch is applying them all :)

    Tempted to go ahead an buy case/cover but maybe best to hold off just in case it isn't sent?

          Hmm strange. I just tried again to check and it's saying "get stock alert" so maybe it's out of stock. On the checkout screen on the top right it should say something along the lines of $150 discount for blah blah but then it displays another couple of discounts for S9 FE and S9+ or something like that. If it's only displaying the one then maybe they fixed it.
