One of the best large gaming monitors - been using the C2 version for couple years now and has been the best mod ive done
Been using a C2 as a pc monitor for years, I make absolutely no effort to reduce burn in and it hasn't been an issue.
People need to stop clutching their pearls over oled burn in.
Same mine has 8k hours, i mostly leave it around 50 brightness. Just don't always use it at max brightness and expect same results.
How is it for 'productivity' and text? Main thing I'm worried about is text not rendering nicely. Actually wondering whether I keep a 27" on an arm or something and swing that out and use that for work, if text looks shit on the C4.
Even when trying to burn in an oled the problem isn't that bad lol: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pi37daETnf0&t=603s
Yeah I see a lot of people worried about it, but I've never heard it being a problem from anyone who has actually used one as a PC monitor. There's people that have been using C1s for years and they're still fine.
This is probably the cheapest it will get until March, even in March may not go this low. I think C3 never got this cheap last year, C2 did get to sub-$1000 briefly in March clearance sales.
What's a good price for the 55'' you reckon? I am thinking of waiting for boxing day but not sure if they will go down any further.
Sorry I only look at 42 usually. Chuck the model number in the OzB search and you will see what it gets down to for Black Friday and clearance in March/April each year. I don't think Boxing Day is better than Black Friday or clearance time for these TVs.
Thanks!
theyll be oos aus wide by march.
Yeah happened last year. C2 there were some left though and it got to sub $1000 at JB for a few days
Thanks, finally ordered one after many months of considering it.
Any 10% or more eBay gift card deals around to bring this under $1100?
Oh that sucks. I bought it for $1295 last week. Do you think they have a price guarantee?
This is not the best deal. The better deal is ordering through LG online chat. They'll give you 10% off the $1,299 listed price = $1,169. Free shipping and free installation is included. So you save a further $61 going with LG directly, compared to the deal posted above. That's what I did this morning. They give you a discount code that you can apply against your order during the black Friday period (till the 4th Dec). Remember to create an LG online profile and order the TV through that for the discount to apply. Now I got my unique one-time use discount code and can wait till 4th Dec and look for even better deals before ordering.
There's also 10% cashrewards too but doesn't stack.
Installation of a 42" TV doesn't seem like much unless they're gonna walk mount it for me haha. Good to know they are cheaper though, cheers.
I wonder if they're easier to deal with or good guys if you have issues.
Has anyone ever successfully claimed tax on this TV when using it as a monitor? Just curious if it’s considered legit for work purposes.
Could make a very good gaming monitor, assuming you put a little effort into mitigating burn in. Maybe an ideal second screen for some.
