Very good specialty coffee, a mob that don't often do too many sales. Yes, I know how many pennies you save at Aldi. Treat yourself.

What's your go to blend (if any) for milk-based coffee from ONA? I've been blown away by Raspberry Candy. espresso is delish but it feels wrong to be using this coffee in a flat white.
Gateway is what you're after @LeonardoTenInchy
What machine do you have and any tips on grind, yield etc. ? I have bought "raspberry candy" many times but can count on 1 hand how many times i've made a coffee that I could taste the "raspberry candy" despite having the same settings etc.
Not sure why it's been so inconsistent for me. I have the barista express, basket size is 18g but fits 19g of it no problem. Most i've gone up to is 19.5g but it tasted more generic coffee like. I found courser grind / pour of about 20s to give me the raspberry taste but I feel like i may be under extracting from how quick it pours
Bugger, just bought a kilo of Aspen.
Any recommendations for a good espresso choice? No milk used :) TIA
Hi @leesar - Try that Hafursa Ethiopian, will be fairly fruity for a washed coffee I reckon
Thanks so much!
The raspberry candy is actually pretty good for it's price, medium body, with sweet and tangy sourness of berries.
Oh good to know it holds up without milk! Thanks!
Damn should have checked ONA website, usually they send these promos in an email but i must have missed it.
I ended up getting some from redbrick this morning. 1x1kg Rogue (some people compare to RC but I prefer RC) & 2x250g for $71 delivered (they had a flash 40% off promo I saw before it was about to end so jumped on it). They also have 20% off subscriptions until 1 Dec so I have signed up to 1x1kg Rogue & 1x250g Good Day for $77 delivered. Pretty good considering Rogue is normally $75
Is the raspberry candy a flavoured coffee? Or is it just tasting notes? I’m after flavoured coffee beans, if anyone can kindly recommend something. Thank you
Hey legends, ive bought Airjo and Lime blue in the past, both nice. Is the price ONA ask worth it?
Raspberry Candy is brilliant. 20% off makes the price (the bags are 200gm not 250gm) a bit more palatable too.
The Trifle blend is a bit underwhelming this year. The Too Pud Too Good and Cookies and Cream releases of the past two years were much better IMO.
