Actually my calcs show is only 1.5m in height so not as bad as i thought, it might just have to be unboxed outside…

    • +1

It's in a big f u timber box that's nailed and bolted and usually shipped in a truck where it was loaded with a forklift but the truck usually doesn't have a forklift to take it off.

  • back order already?!

  • Can you fit 115" in bedroom?

    • +3

Exactly what my wife's boyfriend asked me last night.

    • +1

      I think your wife can.

  • +6

This will be $6K in 2026

  • And I'll still need to wear my glasses to read the chyron.

  • one day, my dear… one day…

  • +3

Will these work ok as the walls in a tiny home?

  • "Weight without Stand (Kg): 98.3"

I don't think I would ever want to own a TV that weighs more than I do.

    • +7

You can always pack on a few more kilos.

      • +1

With a TV that size, I probably would.

  • -7

Nobody can afford one here because all OzBargainers are poor… so sad..

  • Be right back, just gotta go refinance

  • +4

Sheez my wife was complaining about me considering getting a 75" to replace our 50", perhaps I shuld just stick my face right into the fan with a 115" and embrace the pain. ;-)

    • +3

      Go big or go home.

      • +1

        There's big…and then there's BIG.

To be fair….if you're viewing 4K - and hopefully this $20k monster upscales like a champ - the viewing distance recommended is 1-1.5x screen size - so not as insane as I first thought. But yeah I'll stick with getting a 75" I'd say. My bank balance will be happier as well.

        • what's your sofa <> tv distance? the price difference between a 75 and 85" is quite small nowadays. I just upgraded to an 85 :)

    • +1

Yep. Just argue your old 50" plus your new 75" would've equalled 125", so you are just trying to be reasonable and consolidate with the 115" monster.

  • gotta be at least 8k res to consider buying

  • +10

Purchased! Now off to buy my wall bracket from Temu.

  • +3

Jokes aside, apparently this set was available for $19,999 at release in May 2024, so not sure if this is really a bargain.

    • +1

Think it's pretty much unanimous. "I got an absolute bargain on this $20,000 TV I just purchased". Said nobody. Ever.

      • +4

"What is a bargain" remains a philosophical question, but IMO anything available for less than the 'normal' (i.e. regularly available) price could fairly be considered a bargain. Importantly, the 'normal price' may be significantly less than RRP for products that are frequently on sale.

Seeing as this TV was available for $19,999 on release, I'd consider this the 'normal price', despite the $29,999 RRP. So this deal is not really a bargain, but it might be if the TV wasn't available for less than $29,999 until now. The fact that $19,999 is an extraordinary price for a TV doesn't enter into it.

      • Exactly, even at $20k they’re making a huge profit. This is worth $10k at best.

What kind of pleb uses this and not a Samsung micro led which blows OLEDs away :)

People who spend 20k on TV use the built in sound?
Why even put that in their advertising material…

  • Damn.. isnt 4 65" TVs stacked against each other much cheaper and bigger? :D

  • -1

hmm should I get this or put the money as down payment for a property

  • I came here for the TV commentary

  • -1

    Bought, thanks so much OP

  • +2

Imagine paying $20k for a TCL

    • +2

Or $20k for a TV period

      • Do they sell tampons for TV's just in case this happens?

  • +2

Will be great stocking stuffer for the missus

    • +2

      How big are her stockings???

      • +1

        She's big boned

  • +4

this is what a 95inch TV cost a few years ago and now it's barely over 5k. no point unless you have too much money to throw around. get an ALR screen and UST projector for a quarter of the price. this thing would be a pain to move around

  • Thanks bought 10

  • thx OP got 20

  • Worried about how the hard waste guys will take the TV away from kerbside in two years time when I upgrade to newer and better TV! Could potentially exceed the standard size limit for individual collections!

  • +1

I find it funny that Harvey Norman can deliver this behemoth in a wooden crate to my door for $49, but a couple kilo standard parcel will run nearly $30 through AusPost.

  • Thanks OP ordered two for reception at my office, pretty low cost when you consider alternate sized video walls.

  • This will go well with my 115" dong

  • Would fit in the back of mazda 3 ?

    • +13

Yes,Mazda3 can fit on the back of the TV

  • -1

I would go with Harvey Norman instead of Bing Lee on this one. On my last TV purchase from Bing Lee, their delivery drivers refused to take the TV upstairs, said was not possible and wanted to come back with 4 people to carry it up, with additional charges of course.
Then the Harvey Norman furniture delivery drivers that were delivering my lounge said no problem and carried it upstairs in less than 10 seconds with 2 people without any issue at all.

    • +1

Some giant TVs are way heavier than a couch

    • +1

      It could be outsourced.

The courier didn't want the liability of potentially damage to the TV.

dropping a lounge suite is different from dropping a TV.

  • Too small !

  • Bought 4 to link up together. Now all I need is a huge auditorium and I can setup my own cinema.

  • Lucky I didn't buy one when they were 100 odd Gs.

  • -1

If you're rich enough to spend this much on a TV, not sure why you wouldn't just go all out and get Micro LED with millions of dimming zones: https://www.samsung.com/au/the-wall/

    • Samsung tho

    • Yeah bro instead of paying 20k pay 10x it!
