  • Running warehouse has v13 for $149.95 if any body wants to stock up the last years softer model before they’re gone! (limited colour & size though)

Works for the SuperComp Trainer v3 (NB version of a super trainer) https://www.newbalance.com.au/pd/fuelcell-supercomp-trainer-…

Yeah don’t think it is 1080 specific - just full price stuff?

  • 15% back with Shopback if it works with that code.

    • It doesnt

      • We shall see, i got an email saying tracked

  • Better than Hoka Clifton?

  • These better than Nike Pegasus and/or Adidas Ultraboost for everyday use (walking, gym, bit of running, etc)?

I use them for everything, but mainly because of the level of support it gives me.
I have very flat feet that roll a bit inward, these help so so much.

    • Much better than Pegasus I know that much

      • You've sold them to me. Do I go wide or normal fit? I have wide-ish flatter feet, but have never actually used a wide-fitting shoe before

        • I also have wide feet and that’s why Pegasus is not ideal for me. I wear mine, but usually just for walking rather than running. New Balance fit wide and are soooo comfy. Standard fit is absolutely perfect.

          • @nubzy: In a similar boat, here. My fingers are crossed the sizing suits me 🤞

      • Just bought a pair of Pegasus yesterday from the Iconic deal. FML

    • Those listed are slightly narrower fits. The older NB1080 was average to slightly above average width.

These have soft midsoles for easy paced, long runs so I wouldn't want to wear a brand new pair at the gym for any leg exercises.

  • Better off purchasing from a seller that has a physical stores network, the New Balance online store operates independently to the stores network, so you can’t go into an NB store for an issue with any product bought online.

My experience with dealing with New Balance online was both frustrating and disappointing for a warranty issue, particularly when they seem to either ignore or be unaware of Australian Consumer law.

Instead of recognising a manufacturing fault as their responsibility and immediately offering a replacement or refund New Balance started by trying to barter, first offering a small discount on another pair shoes and increasing the offer every time I said no and asking where my refund or replacement was.

Got my money back eventually after they agreed once they received the shoes back, from start to finish took about a month.

Not many stores sell wide fit.

Oh no, you beat me to it. I was about to post this hack:

After trying various items with the code mentioned by @LuckyDrew here, I discovered that some discounted items on the NB Australia site can be further discounted with the code EREBUS40 if they're in the cart with a full price item.

Generally speaking, the code only seems to work with full-priced items (excluding NB's usual exclusions such as Made in USA and Made in UK).

The cheapest full price item I could find was cricket grips at $12.

Combine the grips with the BB480, and you should see a price of $52.20 in cart, delivered.

    Sign-up required for free delivery.

Other shoes I've found to work with this hack:

I haven't been able to discern why some shoes work with this method, and others don't. The 574 I linked earlier for example works for some colourways but not others. Unfortunately it's a matter of trial-and-error for finding a nice bargain.

  • is anyone getting this error ""The payment you submitted is not valid. Please re-enter payment information"

Just ordered the V13's for the same price, are the v14s that much more comfortable or the same?

    • I have the v13 and are fantastic. Reviews for the v14 say they are the same but a little firmer.
With the v13 make sure you selected the correct width, they are VERY narrow with not much toe-box room in standard size

Code expired but can use 'BF2422' to bring it down to $81.90

    • Just checked and code still works, your suggestion does not work for me though.

      • Sorry I posted my comment in the wrong deal haha

Thanks, this is great as I'm a wide size! Bought a few, will return if it doesnt fit. I find their 30 day return very easy.

thanks ! love the 1080v13, was tempted by v14 but dont need additional pair right now, used the coupon for 40% of clothing. Cheers !

  • Thanks, ever since Rose Anvil gave the New Balance 574s a glowing review, I wanted some. That code got me a decent colour not on sale for a tick over $100 with free shipping.

  • Size 8 US in Nike Pegasus 40.. Would I pick the same for this model?

    • After measuring my feet and comparing Nike and New Balance size guide I've purchased the US 7.5 in 1080.

  • Any deals on some New Balance golf shoes?

    • +1

The same code works on all the full priced items, try it out for yourself.

      • Oh it does too! cheers
