Went and watched this on Sunday with my wife, we sat in the Stalls row P seats 31-32, and the view was fantastic. If you can get around rows J-L I think you'd have the best spots in the theatre. The musical itself was great, I had never watched a musical before in my life but I still enjoyed it 10/10. For this price, go give it a try. Definitely worth it.

The same - not into musicals at all, 10/10 experience and saw it a second time.

Chose row C both occasions and I feel offset from centre was better to being dead centered (gives the viewer a better 3D depth view with the angle of the stage whereas front on misses out). The stage lighting also had more of an impact when offset.

Night show was more fun and into it crowds (more adults) than day time and depending on session will have different performers. All the performers bring it with Vidya Makan (https://hamiltonmusical.com.au/meetthecast/) and Callan Purcell amazing during that first session.

      • I'm always drawn to the dress circle but will have to give the stalls a shot.

I also recommend a night show over a matinee. There is a better vibe and you're much more likely to get the primary cast members.

  • Seems like demand is low this time around with all the discounts for this show.

I've seen it and it's rly good tho.

To be fair Hamilton feels like it's been running for a long time now. Other musicals don't return this quickly from the premiere too.

  • Looks good.

Do you have to dress up, or casual is fine?

Have seen people in shorts and tees during both day and night sessions. Probably half in smart casual the rest in casual, jeans, etc.

  • Is there an age restriction to this? Thinking of bringing my 6 year old with us

I took my 7-year-old son to a 6pm show and he loved it. There were a few kids there.

Keep in mind it is long, and the adults I have taken to see it sometimes say they have trouble following everything. My son had seen the Broadway production on DisneyPlus a number of times, and he knows the soundtrack by heart, so he knew what to expect. He's seen a few big musicals and Hamilton was his favourite by far.

      It's fabulous.

    • HAMILTON contains some strong language and is appropriate for ages 8+.

A bit of swearing and adult themes, but most likely the biggest issue would be the close to 3hr (including intermission) duration. That could be very challenging for some kids, though others may be fine with it.
