Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad - Black $249 + Delivery @ Harvey Norman (Price Beat $236.55 @ Officeworks)

70

Likely a mistake, but Harvey Norman are selling the new USB-C black version of the Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad - Black for cheaper than the old Lightning version (currently $254).

Real deal is an Officeworks Pricebeat @ $236.55.

Apple RRP $279.

Worth saving a few pennies if you were in the market for one anyway.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2024

I wonder if I’m the only apple fanboy who doesn’t think apple peripherals are all that good.
I’d rather the Logitech Signature K950 or MX keys for half the price.

The damn Touch ID though… convenient.

It is, but you can use unlock with watch too. Unless you’re using sudo all the time and need to authenticate.

I always wanted an apple keyboard with touch ID. Of course mainly because of the touch ID.
But every time I would just wait till the next day so the urge to get one is gone. Because logic tells me that I probably need touch ID function 10 times a day only. So it's probably not worth it

I just bought one and I love it. Ten times a day is about the usage I get from the Touch ID too but it's sooo worth it, for me.

  • just get the lightning version from marketplace. Managed to get the brand new compact version with touch id and magic mouse for 180

    • Is it pink? Are you spray painting it white to maintain your dignity?

        Sorry I don't get you.

  • was sold on Amazon for $139 last year. lighting white version though not fancy USB-C black version

    • Still target pay 139.
This is roughly the real rrp

    • with Touch ID? that is cheap.

Man Apple tax is conditioning people to call a touch ID button on a keyboard at $250….'Cheap'.

Yeah I agree, no other options out there unfortunately. Not like windows where you can rely on Windows Hello.

Thank the God's for Bill Gates. Or else can you imagine Apple being a monopoly in the PC market? Yikes, I shudder. We would be paying $1000 for 8GB of ram in 2024.

        • Lol, absolutely like everything else, monopoly is a bad thing. Competition is great. Hoping hat EU forces Apple to unlock it's walled garden. The USB C port is a start.
